Well….here it is. I wanted to see if I could go bike packing for 500 dollars (or less). I think this is mission accomplished. I realized I left out the bike luggage rack (40 dollars) along with the straps to hold everything on (40-60 dollars). All things considered for this amount of money I would only barely be able to afford a fancy tent. But instead I can actually go out and do a little camping ⛺️ I’ll be posting the results of how my first bike packing trip went and I’ll go through the good and the bad of the bike and being on a budget. What does a weekend in the Midwest look like? Well…this is what it looks like for me 🤷‍♂️ I went to a Magic the Gathering tournament in Louisville and got 6th place! The person who knocked me out of the tournament was my friend Dale who ended up winning the whole thing! 🏆 This was my prize 🏆 It’s pretty common to get altered cards as a prize for the format I play called “Premodern”. The next day @logan.ipt and I loaded our bikes up and went to Shawnee Forest for a gravel ride! We saw this Beetle in the sky 🪲 Who is this shirt for? It’s pretty nice 🙂‍↕️ We found some of the prettiest roads to bike on. This was one of our rewards for biking up giant gravel hills. We found a fire watch tower off the trail and I wasn’t going to just not climb up it 🤷‍♂️ This little tower is not for people afraid of heights 😅 It was a little sketchy but I’ll do almost anything for a view 👀 The gravel roads were nice and gravely! We happen to have beautiful weather also. We almost completely missed our only stop for water because the water access was 50 feet into the woods and around a corner! Without this I’m not sure we would have made it ☠️ The gangs all here! 🫂 I love a shady area with some grass 😮‍💨 Francisco was the MVP of the ride. He was feeling good and CRUSHING THE HILLS. We all survived our dusty hot gravel ride 🙂‍↕️ 41 miles bikes 3800 feet of elevation 4 really awesome bikers 🚴‍♂️ 🚴 🚴‍♂️ 🚴 Yes, I’m claiming I’m an awesome biker 🙂‍↕️ Went for an evening little walk to see some of the locals here 🐄 So that’s what a guy like me does with his Midwest weekend 👋 I hope everyone had just as wonderful of a weekend ✨🤝✨ #midwest #biking #bikingadventures #weekendvibes #mtg

WANT TO GO SOMEWHERE ON YOUR BIKE BUT DON’T WANT TO CARRY A BUNCH OF THINGS? I have a very logical solution for this everyday inconvenience. Invite your friends to meet you there 🙂‍↕️ You can always drop off your beach gear, food, or anything and meet them at your fun location. Want bike to a fun dinner with friends? See if someone will bring you a change of clothes and/or put your bike in their car. There are some inconveniences when meeting people on your bike who don’t bike with you. BUT with some amazing friends I’m sure you can find a way. :-) #roadbikes #lifehack #bikelifestyle

a few weeks of toadie, knitting & outside venetian glass toadie, of course one of my breathtaking sunflowers i've grown this summer my usual expression and mood ☺︎ decided to pick up these two abandoned knit wips this month :0 kind of gorgeous, worth a look he has a beautiful stance now doesn't he? kind of a horrible video of something special my boys taking pictures of the moon 😍 very cute!! studio gargoyle on duty 🫡 a blissful morning moment for be personally oops ran out of yarn for this one so i did an accent color i'm not completely sold on it yet orb my sunflowers have a major fandom!! the moon... james made me look finished the tshirt mhm ! took the old boy to the home depot!
