and I’m TRACY!! ⭐️🩵📺💝

where do i even begin?

this was the definition of a true dream come true. this show changed my life. it came at just the time i needed it. growing up on Hairspray, i had this music throughout so many different times of my life. getting to perform this musical with so many of my dear friends was truly perfect timing and by the grace of God.

this show taught me that if i want something, i will have to work and work to get it, and when i get it, keep working and working. and i know that might sound exhausting, but with this show, i never wanted to stop. never. i constantly found myself beaming with joy this whole process when i would come offstage for the 2 second breaks i had.

Tracy has been a dream role of mine for so long. being able to play her in the story of Hairspray with the support of the incredible team at @lincolnparkarts felt genuinely surreal. playing Tracy taught me so many things that i will keep close to my heart forever. most importantly, to never let anyone dim your light. 🌟

being able to tell this story of integration, hope, and love was such an honor. it showed how dance and music and singing can truly bring all different walks of life together, and it was beautiful to see it happen in the rehearsal room as well. it gave insight and perspective to me and so many others about a time that most of us were not even alive to comprehend.

a very special shout out to my best friend and Link Larkin, @jacksonconforti63 . we did it. thank you for being with me every step of the way and making this journey as fun as it was. you’re a force to be reckoned with. i’m so lucky to have been able to call myself your Tracy Turnblad. 🥹

a HUGE thank you to the wonderful director of this show, @brady__patsy . thank you for believing in me and trusting me with a marathon of a show. thank you for teaching me so much within this show. i am eternally grateful for the care you have given. 🩵

and of course, thank you to the STELLAR choreographer and hypeman of this show, @ambernicoleardolino . so lucky to have been able to work with you on this beast. (and SO thankful for the opening night videos 🙏)

Everybody, let’s DANCE!!!!
