New longest run!

Can’t believe I actually ran and finished a marathon. A lot could’ve went better, but now I know what to do for next time 😤 Thanks for the support from everyone who gave me advice, those who came with me (my loving parents and my amazing girlfriend, and those that ran it with me!

Thank you @_faithlimes_ for reminding me to make my HOBY post! (Also I gotta get this in before Shay-bae goes to basic)

Wow. To say that this seminar was incredible is an understatement. I am truly amazed at the amount of professionalism and dedication that is exhibited by my fellow HOBY volunteers. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to make any HOBY magic happen! Even though it is my second year on staff, I can confidently say that this organization is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. Getting the opportunity to see the ambassadors change in just a few hours is something truly special. It is simply unmatched. I love HOBY Ohio South with my whole heart and soul, and I hope for many more amazing years to come!

“I believe every person is created as the steward of [their ] own destiny with great power for a specific purpose: to share with others, through service, reverence for life in a spirit of love.”

what a gift that the most important work sometimes happens with the silliest people

chairing our HOBY Ohio South seminar for the past two years has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life, and volunteering alongside these heroes has made it one of my greatest privileges

@katiemidd and @jacobmanser, I simply wouldn’t have done it without you

to leadership and beyond!

Thank you HOBY for loving me at my best and worst.

The year that’s passed between HOBY 2022 and HOBY 2023 has not been the greatest for me personally. I dealt with my body shutting down on one side, brother nearly dying, surgery, finally addressing my mental health needs, and losing my job among other things. My mental overload and burn out came in with me to HOBY, and I simply wasn’t my best self. I’m grateful though for the friends, new and old, who remind me to have grace. I’m grateful for the people who allow me to be real, even when my real isn’t happy and bubbly. I’m grateful for the lessons learned in this place called HOBY, and the ones I learn with each new seminar.

As the book closes on HOBY 2023 I’m looking forward to an even better and brighter HOBY 2024. Much love to my people 🩷🩷
