🌟 Writer of the Week Spotlight: Sharon Johnson (@loki512) 🌟
It is an absolute joy to feature the evocative and deeply honest voice of Sharon Johnson as our Writer of the Week. For Sharon, writing serves as a vital bridge to express the innermost feelings and thoughts that spoken words so often struggle to convey. Transforming moments of feeling tongue-tied into profound, resonant verse, she writes to give shape to her emotions—both for her readers and for herself. Her poetry moves effortlessly between gothic, shadow-steeped atmosphere and the vast, untamed beauty of the natural landscape.

Sharon’s craft shines in its raw vulnerability and vivid, sensory world-building. In her gothic piece, she paints a hauntingly dark nocturnal scene. Yet, even in the darkest landscapes or quiet struggles, her pen finds resilience and wild, boundless freedom. In her breathtaking, atmospheric piece set where earth meets ocean, she writes: “You will find me / out where the wild things wander... Call to me— / in the language of waves and wind, / and I will come. / We’ll meet at the boundary / where everything begins and ends, / where time unravels.” And as she reminds us in her delicate micro-poetry, “in the midst of all the darkness... something in me, / is still breathing— / hope, maybe.” Sharon, thank you for sharing your honest heart and hauntingly beautiful words with our community!
