DISCOVER THE COLLECTIVE 🌐 | takeemhome.org

The past few months have given me space to look closely at what we’ve built and where it’s going. That reflection brought something into focus: BLKSTARUNTD and Take Em Home Collective share the same roots, but each deserves room to grow into its own purpose.

BLKSTARUNTD will keep expressing our story through fashion, art, and sport. Take Em Home Collective now has a home of its own for the work closest to my heart: connecting people to culture, creating opportunities for young people, and serving communities in Ghana and across the diaspora.

This is a new chapter for both. I’m excited to welcome you to takeemhome.org. Explore the Collective, meet the mission, and see where we’re headed.

Come Home. Serve Forward. ★

📣 The journey continues 🌐🇺🇸🇬🇭

One year since our return to Ghana, the journey is still moving through us.

The people who welcomed us. The stories we heard. The lessons we carried home. Now we’re inviting you to experience a piece of it with us.

Introducing Take Em Home: The Landing, Issue 001 of our comic series, inspired by real-life adventures and the people, places, and moments that shaped our journey. It’s accompanied by a coloring book created for young readers and families to explore, create, and connect with the story.

Download it free. Read it together. Print the coloring pages. Share the story.

What does it look like when design becomes a space for people, ideas and businesses to grow?

Stefania Manfreda is the Founder and Creative Director of Lokko House (@lokkohouse). Her work spans fashion, retail, art, hospitality and cultural programming, with a focus on creating creative businesses and platforms that are commercially sustainable and rooted in their local context.

At DDC26, Stefania will be speaking on “Who Are We Designing For, Really?”, unpacking the people, needs and realities that shape the work we create.

We’re looking forward to seeing where this conversation takes us. Join us at DDC!
