POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Behind every TEDx event is a team ❤️

When you see a TEDx stage, you see the speakers.

You see the lights.
You hear the ideas.
You feel the energy in the room.

But behind every moment on that stage is a team of people working tirelessly, often quietly and long before the doors open.

For TEDxNorthernQuarter 2026, that team has been planning, organising, creating, coaching, producing, designing, problem solving, emailing, calling, chasing, supporting and occasionally putting out fires for months so that our speakers can be the best they can be on September 11th.

From speaker curation and coaching, to production and staging.
From partnerships and sponsorships, to marketing and social media.
From venue logistics and accessibility, to ticketing, volunteers and everything in between.

There are people behind the scenes making sure the smallest details are taken care of, so that when our audience walks through the doors, they can simply be present and experience the ideas.

And that work matters.

Because TEDx isn't created by one person. It is created by a community of people who believe ideas are worth sharing.

So, before we celebrate the incredible speakers taking to the TEDxNorthernQuarter stage, we want to take a moment to celebrate the people who have helped make that stage possible.

To our team, partners, volunteers, coaches, suppliers, supporters and everyone who has given their time, energy and expertise: thank you.

Your names might not be on the big screen.

You might not step onto the red circle.

But you are part of the story.

This is your TEDx too.

📢 RE:FORMAT GAMES SUMMIT SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT 📢

We're delighted to welcome @tamsinol to the RE:FORMAT Liverpool Games Industry Summit! 🧡

Founder of Wise Cat Strategy, Co-Founder of @ndreams_vr, Trustee at The Future Echo Charitable Trust, and Non-Executive Director at Appeer CIC, Tamsin has spent more than two decades helping games businesses navigate growth, leadership challenges, and organisational change.

Throughout her career, she has seen first-hand what enables studios to scale successfully—and where growing organisations can begin to experience friction. As teams expand, expectations increase, and operational complexity grows, the leadership structures, decision-making processes, and governance models that once worked can struggle to keep pace.

As Co-Founder and Chief People Officer at nDreams, Tamsin helped grow the studio from a small team of developers into a company of more than 250 people, building the organisational systems, leadership frameworks, and culture required to support sustainable growth at scale.

Alongside her advisory work, Tamsin also spearheaded the creation of Game On, a free safety initiative for games industry events that has since been adopted internationally.

She is a passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion, and social mobility within the games industry, work that has earned widespread recognition throughout her career.

The wait is over!! 📣👀

We are delighted to unveil the 16th and final mystery speaker joining us on the TEDxNorthernQuarter 2026 stage 🎤🔴

On September 11th, he will take his place on the world famous red dot to share an Idea Worth Spreading that we know will leave a lasting impact.

Please join us in welcoming @drrajanbedi to TEDxNorthernQuarter 2026.

Dr Rajan Bedi has spent 25 years working in the global space industry, designing and developing technology used on board satellites and spacecraft. In 2014, he founded Spacechips to bring his inventions to orbit.

His work has earned significant recognition, including Start Up Company of the Year and High Reliability Product of the Year across multiple years, as well as Technology Entrepreneur of the Year in 2024 and Disruptive Entrepreneur of the Year in 2020 at the @entrepreneursgb.

Rajan’s passion for space began at just five years old, stargazing under the crystal clear Northern Irish skies. Mesmerised by the constellations, he read every book on space in his local library and knew from that moment he wanted to dedicate his life to designing and building spacecraft. Even then, he was asking a bigger question, how could space technology help people and make our world a safer, happier place?

In the lead up to September, Rajan will be working closely with our speaker coach, @gillmmckay, to develop and refine his TEDx talk and shape his Idea Worth Spreading for the TedxNorthernQuarter stage 💡

We cannot wait to welcome guests to Manchester this September for a day of Ideas Worth Spreading.

🎫 Over one third of tickets have already gone, so secure yours while you still can.
