🍴 GIVEAWAY 🍴 We're approaching 1000 episodes of City Cast Madison, and we want to celebrate with you!

To mark this massive milestone, we're partnering with a few of our favorite Madison restaurants to give away $1,000 in gift cards to one lucky winner.

😲 That's right — a thousand dollars at some of the best spots in town! You'll be eating good.

Here's how it works: You may have heard that @natgeo just included Madison on its list of “Best of the World 2027," one of only 25 places to make the cut.

We couldn't agree more, and to really prove the point, we're putting together a list of 1,000 things we love about this city 🏆

But here's the thing: a thousand is a LOT, and we need your help filling the list with specific things — businesses, events, quirky traits and more — that you appreciate about Madison.

So to win $1,000 in gift cards, help us celebrate 1000 episodes by adding to the list in the comments!

HOW TO ENTER
❤️ Comment something you love about Madison (the more niche and specific the better!)
❤️ Tag the lucky friend (or few lucky friends 🤭) you'd treat to a meal if you're the winner

Here's where you could be dining:
🤤 @harveyhouse
🤤 @mintmarkmadison
🤤 @ahanmadison
🤤 @lolasmadison
🤤 @grazemadison
🤤 @canteentaco
🤤 @merchantmadison
🤤 @osteria_novella
🤤 @thedeliciouser
🤤 @zafferano.ristorante

This contest will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, and the winner will be picked randomly and notified by this account on Thursday, Oct. 29.

Good luck! 🤞

Lily & Micah's elopement is going to live rent free in my head for the forseeable future and I think it is clear to see why 🌈💓💖📸

These two met with me for the first time a couple months ago and in the time since they planned and executed the raddest, funkiest, true to them elopement that little ol' me could only DREAM of documenting.

Their ceremony took place at @allencentennialgarden under the gazebo, officiated by their dear friend Maddie. 💖 Maddie took them on a stroll down memory lane and read them a few words to open their ceremony. The pair read each other two poems each before launching into their personal vows. There were lots and lots of happy tears :')

After sealing their ceremony with a kiss, we snapped a few photos in the garden before heading over to @lolasmadison for cocktails and some funky/kitschy portraits. Lola's happens to be Lily & Micah's favorite date night spot and hangout, so it truly hit all of their boxes as the place they wanted to celebrate & document their day.

Micah & Lily's love is so wonderfully obvious. The way they look at each other and cherish each other made documenting their day such a privilege. To know them is to love them, and I am already counting down the days until their bog celebration next year 🙏🎉

If you love these photos and love the idea of eloping, but you aren't sure where to start, just shoot me a dm! We can figure it out together ❤️

True North Music Fest!

There was a real panic in our house as the stomach flu showed its disgusting face only a day before. Luckily we had some immunity to this strain because neither myself nor my sexy photo assistant fell ill.

The day could not have gone better. Other than being called mean by another photographer. (If you’re reading this we will become friends) And! It sort of seemed like maybe I was temporarily blamed for some sound issues. But only by the security guard.

Anyway! My husband and I had the best time and I didn’t have to carry my super heavy gear bag at all. We got to see all my favorite chef friends. So many not pictured in this post. I went on a Ferris wheel because it was on the shotlist. I haven’t gone in probably 20 years because I’m afraid of heights. I became best friends with the drummers mom - we email now. Oh! And after we left we got a bar spot at Lola’s!

Maybe I’ll do a second post because I have so many more photos.

So many great live music events in Madison this weekend! If you want to find shows year-round, and not just this weekend, make sure to download Meritune.

It has dozens of shows every day across Minnesota and Wisconsin. We cover everything from small non-ticketed venues to midsize venues into big stadiums. Gone are the days of only getting paid concert suggestions from large artists. People are missing so much great music at small venues.

Instead of searching on every corner of the Internet or social media for different shows, if you download Meritune you have one centralized spot to find shows in a convenient mobile app.

It is free to download via the link in our bio!
