Society of Gilders - recap of 2025!
It was a very active non-conference year for the Society of Gilders. From the West Coast Art & Frame event in Las Vegas to Salon International in Denmark, Gilding on Glass in Chicago, in-studio classes, Gilders on Zoom, and our Global Gilding Symposium in October, our community stayed engaged all year long. Recorded sessions are available anytime with member login, and our photo-rich Gilder’s Tip will be arriving in members’ mailboxes soon. The Society of Gilders supports our community, and our community supports us. A true win-win!

It was our first moving day into Enso Village. We have a few more weeks of finishing up the remodel, and moving all our belongs that will fit into this much smaller “retirement” place. But the beach house will absorb more next year. We hung a few paintings today, to help make it feel more like my kind of place. My watercolor, A White Rose, a beautiful oil painting Emerging Vessel, from my painting teacher @christina_mastrangelo_artwork, and a gilded driftwood sculpture, we dubbed The Flame, from another of my teachers @londongild. They make quite a powerful threesome in the space! I’m bringing all the things I love most with me, to help make this new place feel like a home. @enso_village

✨ A Glittering Holiday Affair ✨

Now on view: *All That Glitters*, our dazzling new holiday exhibition featuring works from Hunt Slonem and Jill London. Witness how Slonem’s neo-expressive, maximalist pieces find a striking balance with London’s more abstract, refined creations—each standing boldly on their own while beautifully complementing the other. London’s works, truly a modern alchemy, add a serene contrast to the vibrant energy of Slonem’s iconic style.

Join us today for our Holiday Open House from 2–5 PM! Indulge in a hot cocoa bar, holiday treats, and the magic of art that sparkles. ✨

Inbetween packing boxes and mulling over my life choices, I had a quick couple days gilding with my wonderful instructor Jill @londongild

We managed a little skull and a very large horse head replica cast in moon gold leaf. So fun 🤩!

Scaffold coming down from the front of the church. Prepared and gilded all the lettering, cross, entrance roof, grilles and angel. We had previously gilded the domes @ 10 years ago. And they still look as new! #goldleaf #goldleafing #exteriorgilding #manetti #wbgoldleaf #gildingworldwide #gilders #gilded #gildersstudio #2375ktgoldleaf #weloveourwork #gilding

Preparation and gilding of the second cross atop the Cathedral. Check out the wonderful scaffold set up giving us one 18" deck to work on along with the 2 other decks.
