During a break between games, our 11 girls noticed a young 8U girl absolutely BALLING OUT on the field next to ours. Without hesitation, they ALL ran over to cheer her on! 🙌🔥

THAT is what this is all about! ❤️

These girls are blazing a trail for the next generation, just as others have done for them. They understand that every step forward creates an opportunity for the girls coming up behind them.

Grateful 🫶🏻

Growing up playing baseball alongside the boys, I always dreamed of a league of our own. Being part of the inaugural season of the WPBL and seeing that dream become a reality has been pretty special.

To my teammates, coaches, and everyone who supported us throughout the season… thank you for making this year one I’ll never forget! 🗽

And a special shoutout to @rawlingscanada_official for being part of my journey this season, and @customnumbered for creating custom arm sleeves that let me represent my roots on the field🇨🇦

It’s hard to express how much happiness the @wpbl_official brought me this season. I remember when I was little watching EVERY baseball movie and game I could find with my dad. I remember reading every book about the @aagpbl_official book I could find. I also remember as I got older baseball became more distant for me. So watching these badass women this year with my own eyes and not a recreation or through my imagination when reading is a feeling that I never thought I’d get. This definitely healed something in little me and I’m so grateful. Obviously explains the sketch fest and just the joy this season brought me when I needed it most. Officially finished 2/4 team sketches (Each took about a week or so). Also included a few single player sketches too. If you have any @wpbl_firebells or @wpbl_hunters recommendations for my team collage sketch please hit me up! SO READY FOR SEASON 2!! 🙌🙌🥹 #WPBL

First Professional season in the books. ✅

Thank you to the fans that made it out to Springfield, bought the merch, watched online, and found a way to be apart of something special. Signing every autograph and taking photos with you all was just as cool to us as it was to you.

To my teammates and opposing players, thank you for also being apart of something that we all dreamed about. Going to have lasting memories both on and off the field. It was fun to learn new languages, experience different ways to train, learn each other’s different cultures, and get the opportunity to hang out all season long.

To the @wpbl_official and @wpbl_heights thanks for allowing us to be apart of something we thought wouldn’t happen in our life time. Can’t wait for the next.

in all sincerity, thank you to everyone who made this season possible. to every player, coach, fan, relative, wpbl staff member, stadium worker, anyone who tuned into a part of our season in any capacity, and everyone in between—you all had a part in making this season a success.

playing in the inaugural season of the wpbl was an absolute dream come true, and not an opportunity i will ever take for granted. these past two months have been the most extraordinary baseball experience ive ever had. not only was the level of play incredible, with games full of electric moments and riveting competition, but i have also been able to share countless, invaluable connections with people i have been so fortunate to cross paths with along the way.

i began the season as an athlete with hopes of improving my game of baseball and furthering the growth of women’s sports, and i finished the season as a learned and inspired individual as well.

thank you to everyone who has contributed to and supported my baseball journey. i wouldn’t be here without your motivating belief in me, your words of encouragement, or your willingness to work through that extra rep. i hope that i have made you proud; my journey will not stop here.

it excites me to think of how, as soon as next year, any little girl who was watching this season will have the opportunity to experience the enchantment of this game from the field. to everyone who has had a part in this season coming to fruition, thank you. to everyone who followed along, and especially to those with hopes of someday being a wpbl player themselves, keep dreaming big. before you know it, those dreams will become your reality.
