🦵🔥 MID-PHASE ACL REHAB: THIS IS WHERE STRENGTH BECOMES CAPACITY.

ACL rehab isn’t just about making the muscles stronger.

It’s about building the strength, control, mobility, and force capacity needed to eventually handle running, jumping, cutting, deceleration, and sport.

During the mid-phase, we’re continuing to build:

💪 Quadriceps strength — isolated AND integrated
🍑 Posterior-chain strength — hamstrings, glutes & hip musculature
🦶 Calf strength — a critical shock absorber AND force producer
🧠 Trunk & hip control — creating a stable platform for the knee
↔️ Multi-planar movement — because sport doesn’t happen in one direction
📈 Progressive loading — increasing depth, resistance, speed & complexity
🎯 Single-leg control — developing strength that transfers to movement

And one of the biggest concepts I want athletes to understand:

STRONG ≠ READY.

You can have a strong leg and still lack the ability to absorb force, control the knee, produce force, and repeat those abilities under fatigue and speed.

The mid-phase is where we start building the capacity that will eventually allow us to progress toward running, plyometrics, agility, deceleration and sport-specific demands.

Don’t rush the timeline.
Build the athlete. 🧠🦵🔥
