If everyone’s an artist… does anyone even know what art is anymore?
Has the internet stripped us from actually experiencing life?
Have we devalued art so much that it barely means anything at all?
Are we living — or just documenting?

“Artificial Light” is the thesis statement of THE I/O.
I wrote it while deeply questioning what it now means to be human.

How do we love? How do we create?
In a world that feels more connected yet disconnected than ever, and so caught up in the noise, the numbers, the screens… does art and connection still hold any value?

This is one of the hardest — and coolest — songs I’ve ever written.
Kinda wild we wrote a whole pop album around these questions, but… sheeeesh. We did.

“Artificial Light” out now. So proud of this one.

The Human Era Is Over (The I/O) releases 10/10.
Until then, 1 song from the project will drop every 3 weeks.

The I/O Immersive Experience is coming soon.

THANK YOU. 🙏💈

From the bottom of our hearts 🤍— THANK YOU to every single person who pulled up to our Purpose LA Barber Social yesterday!

You brought the energy. You showed love. You built connections.
That’s exactly what this culture is about — growing together.

Special shoutout to our sponsors @supremetrimmer and @barbersgrocerypro for holding us down and supporting the next generation of barbers 🙌

From the DJ @6_a_b_by to the freestyle cuts by @ncthebarber & @cutzbyuchiess , the raffle hype by @barlossblends @blendsculture , the photo moments, and the conversations that went deeper than hair — it was a night to remember.

Special Thnx to @allpstudios for making our new merch!

This is only the beginning. More education, more events, more PURPOSE.
Stay locked in — we’ve got more heat coming soon.

when my bestie @iamzoya asked me to direct/shoot some of her social/visualizer content for her upcoming album THE I/O (the human era is over) i jumped at the chance. creating art with my friends is one of the greatest gifts in my life. i love being on set with the homies. the vibes created are so special and and we walk away with these amazing creative pieces that we bring into the world, together.

the whole album examines our relationships with love and art. zoya asks: if everyone’s an artist, does anyone know what art is? and are we all stuck only finding love on the internet? i made a decision many months ago that i refuse to let love be dictated by an app, and i choose to believe in romance IRL. being single and gay in LA, this is almost revolutionary haha. but im sure im not the only one. and i still believe in soulmates, destiny, fate, and a great love written in the moon and stars. he’s out there somewhere.

and i will continue to make the art i want to make. with my friends. because to me that is true love as well. as charlotte once said in SEX AND THE CITY, “maybe we can be each others soulmates. and then we can let men be just these great nice guys to have fun with?” and that’s a gift worth celebrating. and im so grateful.

The full THE I/O album drops 10/10. And you can listen to the first two singles “God This Is Boring” and “Love On A Machine” now.
