Busy weekend! Friday night visited with old and new friends at the Lone Pine FFA fundraiser where the community generously support this great program - and the setting was perfect! Saturday morning chatting with the hard working volunteers at the ESCA 5k and cheered on the runners and walkers. Afterwards, I enjoyed the fabulous weather at the Bishop Country Club engaging with voters. Thanks to everyone who came out to support each of these events!

13 years ago was the start of my show career in Bishop. I showed as a mini member participating in rabbits and goats as well as pee wee showmanship each year. I continued on throughout 4-H and onto FFA showing in Bishop. I put in thousands of hours over the years working on showmanship skills, learning about feeding, and learning the importance of hard work and dedication. I will forever be grateful for the experiences and lessons I learned, the friendships I built and the lifelong connections I have created.

Going into my senior year I knew I wanted to show each species that I had shown over the years, this included a market steer, hog, lamb, and goat as well as a breeding ewe and doe. To say the least it was a lot of work… However, in the end all of the hard work and late nights paid. I won Reserve Champion Senior Goat and Steer Showman and 5th Overall Senior Hog and Sheep Showman. I also had a very successful market show winning Supreme Champion Market Steer and Champion FFA Market Goat.

I am beyond grateful for the support I have had throughout all of the years I have been showing, especially this year. My parents deserve an award for helping me with my animals throughout the year and dealing with the animals on their own when I was on FFA trips. Brenda Lacey never once doubted my ability to work hard and succeed, the life lessons I have learned from her will forever remain vivid in my memory. Friendships have come and gone, however the friendships made in Bishop are lifelong. Having the opportunity to show with some of my best friends is something that I am so appreciative of. This year I got to compete with one of my childhood best friends, Dani and high school friend, Alina. And while we quite literally were competing in every single event, having the opportunity to watch each other win is something I’m so appreciative of, going top of the classes with them was such a special moment.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t sad to close this chapter in my life, however I am so grateful for the opportunity I have had to participate in this organization over the past few years. I am forever grateful for this experience♥️
See you in the fall Cal Poly💚💛

We had such a fun time hanging out with you over the past weekend at our Lone Pine Film Festival Community Art Day!

There was good food, great music, eye-catching crafts and a ton of fun kid’s art stations!

We want to thank Lone Pine Highschool Senior Class and Lone Pine FFA (Future Farmers of America) for partnering with us to help make such an eventful day.

This is such a big fundraiser for the Lone Pine Senior class. Thank you to everyone who came out to have some fun and support their program.
