🕷️ THE AMAZING ONYX RCR 80V 🕸️

This one started with a pretty simple idea: Spider-Man is iconic, we love the red and blue, and after finishing our Akira-inspired RCR 80V electric motorbike, we wanted to challenge ourselves again and see how far we could take an existing motorbike.

Not everyone has the ability to keep buying new bikes just to build something different, including us. So the question became: how do we take an RCR 80V we already have and completely transform it?

This is where we landed.

Built by Ivan Ceja, Christopher Ancheta & Jessy Orozco, this RCR 80V gave us another opportunity to experiment with new ideas, aftermarket parts, and some of the incredible components being developed for this platform.

Huge thanks to Steady Garage, Chimera Engineering, Gears Racing, JC310 Designs and everyone who continues supporting these ideas and pushing the RCR 80V platform forward. 🙏🏽

The coolest part wasn’t even finishing the build. It was watching people react to it.

At the Demo Days Festival in San Francisco, people kept stopping to take photos, adults were smiling, and little kids’ eyes would light up the second they saw it. Spider-Man has meant something to so many people across generations, and seeing a bike create that kind of reaction was pretty damn cool.

And somehow, we came home with Best Two Wheels at the Demo Days Show Off. 🏆

For us, these builds are about continuing to learn, trying things we haven’t done before, supporting the people making cool parts for this community, and hopefully inspiring somebody else to build an RCR 80V that feels completely their own.

It’s going to be a good day when you get @steadygarage mail 🙌🏽 thank you @longballer @chimeraengineering 🙏🏽 these aluminum foot peg brackets are going to come in clutch for an idea I’ve been cooking up for my red ONYX RCR 80V electric motorbike. These are going to go to powdercoat at @pearlcoatings with the Turbo Fan rear wheel covers and molley panel covers. Yall just wait 🤫🕷️🕸️

@STEADYGARAGE IS COOKING‼️👨🏽‍🍳🔥 Went by the shop to pick up their unreleased @chimeraengineering Turbo Fan Rear Wheel Covers designed for the ONYX RCR 80V electric motorbike. These will be available on their website later this month. I caught up with the crew there and they showed me their Steady Garage Peg Extension Kit that will be available for ordering on their site later this week. Also, check out this RCR 72V that they brought back to life with some top notch accessories. They also gave me a sneak peek of their @chimeraengineering Top Steering Plate that will be available in October. They’ve already designed a number of quality parts and accessories that are compatible with the ONYX RCR and are available www.steadygarage.com
