A lifetime’s collection of comics for the world to enjoy!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A Compassionate Side of The Flash. I chose the issue because I think Wally West is amazing in the way he handles Heat Wave (who is terminally ill). It show Wally in all his greatness. Now, consider why this is so important - just before Wally returned as the Flash, there is this DC Event called Heroes in crisis. It focuses on mental health and the story leads the reader to Harley Quinn for most of the series until it switches last second to Wally going out of control after he reads about everyone’s trauma including the trauma he caused and he lost it, killing his friend Roy Harper. The worst Wally West story in decades. BUT, this issue is everything I love about Wally West. #heatwavewednesday #antiherosociety #ahssidekick #theflash #wallywest

#TradingCardTuesday While at a card convention a couple weeks ago, I saw this Princess Leia card and immediately recognized the artist, Adam Hughes. I don't know the full history of where this artwork came from. I do know it was used for a limited 250 print in Europe for Star Wars Celebration IV 2007. I know Disney is done printing anything that has the name Slave Leia on it, so I knew it was a worthy pickup.

“I’m Batman. It’s not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me” ~Absolute Batman #16 by Dan Quintana

Special shout out to my friend and one of the greatest in every way the counts, Dan Quintana @quintanarte

Also, my friend, whose heart is full of love and the power to heal, Naida @naidas_comic_escape. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of allowing me to have this piece as part of the ToddFatherCollection.

The only other person who has a blue sig from @quintanarte, the retailer who believed in Dan Quintana and brought thus book to fruition- @heavymental99 and his beloved, Evey @evey_eve99

I also want to thank those people who have supported both Dan Quintana and Heavy Mental and his team in bringing what I belive was the single best piece of artwork if 2025. As I have told Dan, I truly belive there will come a time in the future his name will be spoken along side the greats, from Frank Frazetta to Alex Ross. High praise indeed, but well deserved.

let’s continue to show Dan Quintana, the love, support, and appreciation we would show any Artist who contributes all of their time and energy to give their very best. This community is overwhelmingly positive, with exceptions such as you would see at any gathering of like-minded people.

Thank you, Dan for giving us your very best and for continuing to share with us, your journey, talents and passion in all that you create. It certainly shows in every unmistakable piece you produce and every paint stoke you make.✨

We interrupt this regularly scheduled #showoffsunday post to SING THE PRAISES of Jason Stum of @certifiedcomicshop !
•
(The #igcomiccomunity is officially tagged for #silveragesunday or a #marvel25thanniversarybordercovers book)
•
So, the plan was to continue the pattern of #cancerrecovery updates, #janeamerican and #parallelspecialedition posts, AND little glimpses into some gems in my #personalcollection
•
This copy of #greenlantern 1 from July/August 1960 and #dccomics was what I was going with until an UNEXPECTED #mailcall showed up!

Jason is an avid collector, an amazing interviewer, runs the peerless #certifiedcomicshop , and is a good friend!
•
He knew I was a frustrating 6 issues away from completing the #marvel 25th Anniversary run… and now (thank you Jason) I am down to 4!
•
We are looking at:

- #marvelage 44 (which I could not find in the wild anywhere) and….

- #ewoks 10 one of those 😳😳😳 #starcomics issues that are #hothothot🔥
•
What a thoughtful and kind gesture! The SELFIE & A COMIC pics are in honor of him (he is a #jedimaster of these shots)!
•
Thank you to everyone in the #friends , #family , and #igcomicbookcommunity that are keeping tabs on me here! Your support has been uplifting and essential! My appointment with the #oncologist is on September 27th.
