ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF 👋

I’m Jordan Davies, a dad, a husband, a full time engineer, and a bang-average triathlete who has decided that 2027 is the year I’m going to have a proper go.

I’ve signed up for Ironman Wales 2027 🐉 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Which, when I say it out loud, sounds like a much better idea than it probably is. 😂

The end goal is to cross that finish line.

But I know the real challenge isn’t going to be race day.

It’s the next 12 months.

The early mornings.
The long rides.
The swims I’ll probably try to avoid.
The runs when my legs are telling me absolutely not.
And trying to fit all of it around being a dad, a husband and having a full-time job.

So… here we go. 🤷‍♂️

I want to prove to myself that I can pick something that scares the shit out of me, commit to it, and give it everything I’ve got.

And along the way there’ll be:

🚴‍♂️ Cycling
🏊‍♂️ Swimming
🏃‍♂️ Running
👨‍👩‍👧 Dad life
💼 Work
😂 Probably plenty of questionable decisions

And if my daughter grows up seeing her dad have a go at something difficult, that’s worth more to me than any finish time.

Long Course Weekend Wales 2026.

It was… a bit of a mixed bag 😂

I bailed on the swim because I hadn’t trained enough.

Then my bike decided to join in and broke about 10km into the sportive.

So after spectacularly failing two thirds of the challenge, I had one thing left.

The half marathon.

And somehow, that became the best part of the weekend.

Crossing that finish line gave me a tiny taste of what happens when you actually put the work in, and that’s what planted the seed.

If I can do that… what happens if I actually commit?

Apparently, the answer was:

“Enter Ironman Wales.”

🤦‍♂️😂

Given Wales is a hilly c
