What’s the burning bush moment in your life? 🔥🌳

What if the thing you keep praying about is also requiring something from you?

You’re praying for discipline, but are you getting up when the alarm goes off?

Praying for a stronger marriage, but are you loving, serving, and leading differently?

Praying to grow closer to God, but are you opening your Bible and making time to seek Him?

Prayer was never meant to be an excuse for passivity.

James tells us that faith without works is dead. Not because our works earn anything from God, but because real faith should change the way we live.

So pray. Ask God to move. Depend on Him completely.

Then get up and obey.

What’s one thing you’ve been praying about that God may already be calling you to act on?

Following God will cost you something. The question is whether you’re willing to pay the price of obedience.

David said, “I will not offer to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” 2 Samuel 24:24 CSB

That hits hard.

Because comfort is cheap. Obedience isn’t.

Sometimes following God costs you time. Pride. Convenience. Control. Sometimes it means doing what’s right when it would be easier to avoid it.

This week, don’t just read the Word. Let it expose what you’ve been unwilling to surrender.

What is obedience costing you right now?

Happy Labor Day, men. Enjoy the day with your family, then get in the Word and come ready to live it out.

Get into the Word until the Word gets into you.

Your eyes are a gate, not a garbage disposal.

What you keep letting through shapes your heart — slowly, quietly, whether you notice or not.

Close the gate on one thing today. No exceptions, no negotiating.

What are you cutting off? 👇

“And when they had prayed... they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.” — Acts 4:31

Mark two of a man: Spirit-Led Courage. Not bravado — boldness that comes from being filled, not from hyping yourself up.

Where do you need that boldness this week? 👇

Nashville Men's Conference 2026

What a powerful day at the Nashville Men’s Conference: OWN THE CALL! Today was a reminder that following Jesus isn’t something we simply talk about. We are called to live it out. From powerful worship to challenging messages, today left me convicted, encouraged, and ready to take action.

A few takeaways I’m leaving with:

Joby Martin: Pride can keep us from recognizing our need for God. We were challenged to humble ourselves, wake up, serve, pray, and stop living like “bench Christians.” We need godly brothers around us who will pray for us, challenge us, and help keep us accountable. Our sin does not define us. Jesus does.

Jonathan Pokluda: To truly man up, we need to mind our mouth, align our actions, notice needs, unleash our faith, and pursue purity. What we say matters, but our actions reveal what is really going on in our hearts. We were challenged to trust God’s plan, even when we can’t see it, and to pursue holiness instead of being distracted by the world.

Robby Gallaty: Discipleship isn’t just a class or something we check off a list. It’s a course of our life. We can’t expect something from others that we aren’t modeling ourselves. Baptism isn’t the finish line, it’s the starting line. Jesus has called us to make disciples, and making disciples is what we are called to do daily.

Drew Parker: His story was a powerful reminder that success, accomplishments, and platforms aren’t the ultimate goal. God can take the gifts and influence He has given us and use them for something far greater than ourselves. When we surrender our plans to Him, He can give our lives a greater purpose and use our story to point people to Jesus. His appearance was a fitting reminder of what it means to truly own the call.

“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.”
1 Corinthians 16:13 NKJV

Jesus is calling us to more than comfortable Christianity. He’s calling us to obedience.
