I take thousands of photos a year. and I always mean to do a better job of cataloging. but the days go by and I suppose that's what resolutions are for.

some 2023 highlights: startin the year finally catching @dstriker. the semi-return of #dickwolf; the actual return of @thebronzedchorus, @naturalchild and @thedinwiddies. @wearesportsbar and @instant_regrets_, 4ever. Philly freaks for #somethingtotalkabout2. learning @bwm26 makes the best gazpacho and seeing him thrive in @d.o.l.t.z.. having the pool another year. @nyp_tate doin shows again. melting in the van for @thrashitoriumchillin's bday throwdown. @hopscotchfest, naturally. gettin swanky with @femfestnc. finally makin it to the memphis motherland for @gonerfest. Halloween fiends and la wild timez.

meeting lovely new faces and wilin' with cherished old buds. getting to chat up the good word in @yesweekly336. a ton of other stuff I'm forgetting. feel free to holler and jog them memories.

luv y'all. here's to another spin on this weird ol' rock.

good luck, everybody.

If I could define 2023 in one word, it would be: opportunity. I want to sincerely thank all the bands and colleagues I’ve collaborated with who’ve trusted my craft.

Within a year I’ve shot a music festival, took promotional photos for several new bands, met a musical hero, witnessed a few nostalgic bands I’ve admired and waited anxiously to see live, and finally helped shoot a music video.

It’s truly been a surreal experience and these opportunities have helped me grow as an artist. This year has definitely helped me step out of my comfort zone as a photographer and as a human being.

I sincerely appreciate all the bands who have given me the chance to shoot for them. I’ve always felt very insecure about my art and their trust has taught me not to feel that way. Photography can be a complex and competitive business. Sometimes you just have to face the reality and trust your gut.

To all the artists I’ve gotten to know and collaborate with this year, I am extremely proud of you and grateful to have you in my life. You guys deserve all the success and should be proud of your hard work. I hope 2024 brings you good vibes as well as great opportunities like 2023 did for me. Love you guys. Happy New Year. 🎊 🎉😎🎸
