Warning- long techie post ahead. Probably only interesting to my fellow photographers.

To say that this last year has been my biggest technological struggle is a photographer is an understatement. Last fall season my beloved Canon R5 Mark ii started freezing up on me in the middle of busy season. I would take the battery out to put it back in and it would give me one shot each time I did that., It just wasn’t usable like that. So feeling under pressure and very hesitant to go Canon R5 again, I decided on a whim that I was going to be a Fuji person. I love my little XT 5 for personal work, but it’s just not me for client work. Not to mention the fact that it was also freezing up on me quite often when I used it during client sessions so, needless to say, it was not my landing place. After much thought, I figured I would just go back to Canon- go back to what I know and what is comfortable for me. But Canon no longer makes the 35L series that I’ve always loved in a mirrorless format and they no longer work with sigma mirrorless Art series lenses, so I decided I was gonna give Sony a whirl. I know so many people who shoot Sony and love it so why not? Tonight was my first go around with it as I photographed my oldest and her best friend. Mind you these edits are all over the place because I was just playing around, but I think I’ve found my new home.
