We regret to inform you that the Commercial Street Criterium is now unavoidable.

One week from today, we’re taking over Downtown Plainfield.

Fast bikes. Loud crowds. Unnecessarily high levels of enthusiasm. The Designated Runner NA Beer Mile. An entire day built around having way more fun than anyone reasonably should on a Saturday.

And with the curtain closing on the 2026 Chicagoland crit scene, this is your last chance to send it around some corners—or yell at other people while they do!

COMMERCIAL STREET CRITERIUM
Thank you to all of our sponsors and partners @darcybuickgmc @dna.plainfield @trekstorechicago @ride_bmc @lakecycling @owala @keatinglaw @blindcornerbeer @werkforcebrewing @tendropscoffee @gobrewing @moejoescajun @winecheeseco @kremacoffeeroasters @fabio.brancati @bekenetik @plainfieldparkdistrict and more
Come race. Come run. Come spectate.

Day 2 and the omnium win is ours!!! Me and @adam.ostr9 came in the day with a plan and executed it perfectly. He had his guys to cover while I had the goal of stealing mid race omnium points from the leaders and keeping adam safe for the final sprint. When it came to mid race sprint I timed it perfectly with guys not in the top five keeping points away from the leaders and allowing Adam to sit in and save energy. From there we tried to conserve energy but stay near the front to cover anything dangerous. With 1 to go we were perfectly placed in the top 5 and adam was able to take 2nd on the day and secure the overall omnium while I took 5th sneaking into the top 10 due to those mid race points. Overall a great weekend for the 2 man squad

Category 1 ✅

When I first started racing in 2017 I remember looking at the professional fields and knowing that’s where I wanted to be, but wondering if I had what it took to make it to that level. Nine race seasons later…i’ve made it and accomplished every goal I set for myself along the way. The path here has not been straightforward, and has been filled with quite literally blood, sweat, and tears, but it has also been the most rewarding experience of my entire life. Massive thanks to my family who has supported me every step of the way, my coach @justinmorrismdog who has helped me develop into the racer I am now, all of the homies and training partners who’ve offered words of support, advice, and occasionally commiseration, as well as the good folks at @turinbicycle for keeping my bike race ready.

What’s next? Harder challenges, bigger goals, and a lot more crit racing

The new ECHELON SS XPO from Jakroo is the most aero, comfortable, and lightweight race suit we’ve ever worn and ten days of hard racing around Chicago called for a new design that matched the unbeatable summer vibes ☀️🌊
