Do guests today approach wine with confidence, curiosity or uncertainty? 🍷

In Part 3, Sarah Looper, founder of @loopersomm and our first Heart to Heart Conversation guest, talks with Stevie Kim about understanding the person behind every wine choice and why good hospitality begins with listening.

This final episode closes a relaxed, honest heart-to-heart, recorded in the middle of New York’s noise and traffic: a different way to talk about wine, with more openness and less snobbery. 🎙️🗽

Part 3 ➡️ Changing How America Learns About Wine with Sarah Looper is now available.

It is worth watching until the end.

“Let’s take a quick trip to Italy.” 🇮🇹🍷

That is how Sarah Looper, founder of @loopersomm and the first guest of Heart to Heart Conversation, welcomes people into Italian wine: through its places, food, history and identity.

In Part 2, Sarah joins Stevie Kim to talk about becoming an Italian Wine Ambassador, exploring the complexity of Italian wine and discovering the lesser-known bottles more people should try. 🎙️

What was the first wine moment that made Sarah Looper realize she was in it for life? 🍷

It happened in 2005, when she was still working as a pastry cook. A taste of Gaja Sorì Tildìn filled her mind with colours, shapes and energy, completely changing the way she thought about wine.

Her story opens Heart to Heart Conversations, a new Mamma Jumbo Shrimp series in which Stevie Kim sits down with the people shaping the world of wine for open and honest conversations. 🎙️

Sarah is the founder of @loopersomm, a platform helping people learn how to talk about wine and express what they enjoy without the snobbery.

Part.1 ➡️ Changing How America Learns About Wine with Sarah Looper is now available.

The full heart-to-heart conversation is waiting on YouTube.

Scenes from Spain 🇪🇸! 5 cities. 3 flights. 2 trains. A border crossing to France. An epic heat wave. Walked, climbed, ate, drank, laughed. Saw a ton of art. Roman ruins. Tried different food. Fell in love with white wines from Rioja. Might like olives. Always chasing sunsets and street art. Still terrible at figuring out where to eat. Will NEVER get tired of wandering the world. Coming home sun kissed and heart full. My gypsy soul always wants more but alas, adulting.

Thank you @modernadventurists @riazescobedo @loopersomm for the best week in the Basque Country. Missing all my new friends. Thank you for the best company. Would do it all again with you!

Finally, I am so grateful that travel was talked about at home. We didn’t have much money so vacations were more like Lake George. My dad was in the military which brought him to Europe and my mom was single until her 30s and did lots of girls trips. They loved to tell stories. It instilled a sense of a world beyond my hometown and the wonder of travel.

Travel is my self love language.

Stay tuned for what is next…..it MIGHT be something I create for you!

Visiting a Viura & Tempranillo organic vineyard in Sonsierra región of Rioja Alavesa with @loopersomm the winemakers of Cupani & @modernadventurists in a region ocuppied since the XI century. We visited various fermentation lagars and a place that would have held an ancient wine Press for the medieval village there. Right above us there is the Necropolis de San Andrés. Fascinating to visit an area of such winemaking heritage.
