Kaaro at Native Seasons

Our first pop-up wasn’t just about sales. It was about bringing people closer to a craft our city has slowly started to forget.

At the Dara Art Community in Kannur, visitors sat down and dyed their own bandanas by hand, using natural dyes like madder root. Every piece walked out looking a little different, and every person walked out knowing a little more about how cloth is made here.

We also spotted some amazing people in Kaaro over the weekend. @sakre in a kimono shirt hand-dyed with madder root, and our bandanas hanging from the mic stand through @loozmathai’s set.

The pop-up did quite well, but what we’re really taking home is something far more valuable: friendships.

Thank you @prayagamartin, @resmisateesh, @fcboy83 @thenativeseason, @dairacommunityindia and everyone who stopped by. Until the next one

ലൂസ്മത്തായി / Loozmathai

Singer-songwriter, composer, and producer Loozmathai crafts warm, melodic electronica built from layered synths, driving basslines, and hazy psychedelic textures, brought to life with live vocals. His music moves fluidly between dreamy dance grooves and widescreen atmospheric soundscapes that bridge dancefloor immediacy with immersive scale that is hypnotic yet driving, intimate yet expansive.

Catch him live at Native Season, Oct 9,10,11 at Daira Art Residency, Kannur.
