Weeks like this week is why I chose to play music for a career. The reckless joy, the freedom, the community. This week I felt joy I haven’t felt in a while. It was a blessing to have @terellstafford play with my group at the @bimhuis this last Tuesday. I pray for more weeks like this! Here’s a few clips featuring some of my favorite people❤️🎹 1. Me and Terrel after the show-fun note, I showed him the music 15 minutes before we played and he played everything perfectly 2. Terrel playing over my song “Pawns” from my last album. 3. @mario3ch soloing over “You stepped out of heaven” . Marios’s is by far my favorite musician, he’s influenced in more ways than I admit. I had to change my sound after 2022 after playing with him❤️ 4. “Hold me” with @kadikaldmae @bertramhasselager Zoe and @oscar_rodenburg_music 5. Me and @nicolalamusic went to get a fade together before the show. Nicola is by far my favorite person and vocalist to play with no cap❤️ 5. Beautiful love with amazing trio. Thank you to my amazing teacher @jazzpianistno1 for running’s this 6. Terrel playing over “Heaven” favorite part of the show was this. 7. Ugly ass little bill lookin ass @micahgravesmusic 8. New song with @kylekalebdjianclark and @lorapeters_ . We’ll be playing at soho later this month ❤️❤️😤
