Portrait of a Clown by @lordmedia

By playing with the wrongness of the world, Clowns can hold space for difference.

Strange Chaos tries to show what is possible with circus in a landscape of conservative programming choices, venue closures, and funding precarity. This weird carpark art is defiantly DIY/DIT (Do-It-Together) - because we shouldn’t have to ask for permission to make the culture that we want to be part of!

There is such a hunger from audiences for surprising and experimental entertainment that speaks to deeper themes. Thus Strange Chaos attempts to be simultaneously foolish, vulnerable, surreal and meaningful.

Thank you to all the beautiful people who have supported this show and @oozingfuture by buying tickets, t-shirts, posting stories, writing reviews, giving interviews and talking about us to your friends! Without you it wouldn't be possible.

There is just two more chances to see the show in Melbourne/Naarm before the red curtain rolls up and out of town. Limited tickets are still available via @melbfringe. See you in the carpark!

No rest for the wicked, wicked (junglist massive)!

We’re throwing a party, circus scratch night and bike rave rolled into one!

This is the first in a series of community events designed to support and showcase experimental circus - get involved and you can say you were at the first one!

Got a new idea you want to try on an open stage with a supportive audience? Reach out via DM and sign up to perform!

We want to wish this absolute legend of a guy the happiest birthday so make sure you drop him a line and show him some love!

Unfortunately this post is bittersweet because Loochie has had to make the very difficult decision and end his time with Cherry Octane. There’s just not enough of this sterling gentleman to go around and sometimes life just makes it hard for us to have the time to do everything we want. We want him and everyone to know that we love him dearly and are going to miss sharing the stage with one of the brightest shining stars we know!

That said, it looks like the gig this Saturday at @cherrybarmelb with @crazynightsofficial has turned into a little farewell party for our Italian drummer boy! So make sure you’re there to send him off in the biggest way possible!

Of course you can still him smashing the skins with @anth_nekich & @dannyslaviero with the mighty @warbirdsrock_ at a venue near you!

See you all this Saturday! It’s gonna be sick!
