I presented my thesis film, MAKE A SCENE, to the big screen. Written and directed by me.

This story is one which I have always told, away from the cinematic realm, but to friends and the people close to me. The story of my little brother Taylor, who has autism.

Taylor has opened my eyes, and enhanced my ability to see beyond the naked eye- to accept the fact that people do indeed see things differently, and who’s souls are led through a different lens. A lens which is not flawed, but prone to seeing wonder in details which the rest of us cannot.

Being aware of our surroundings, and actively cultivating our values of respect, empathy, and open-mindedness, are those which I have been able to transmit into this film.
I was able to mend my brother’s story, my culture and love for music into MAKE A SCENE. I am blessed and understanding of the privilege that this holds, for what I want to make it not only about me, but about the people I love.

Thanks to everyone that held my hand through the process, and who encouraged me to remain true to my story, Taylor’s story, and everyone who may resonate with this film’s story.

Thank you to my crew, wonderful actors, and musical geniuses for bringing our protagonist, OBINA, to life 🤍
