Ad | 🚂 Seven trains, three continents, one luxury brand.
Belmond has run the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express since 1982, in sleeping cars from the 1920s restored down to the marquetry. Paris to Venice takes a single night. The British Pullman does a shorter version of the same romance, out of London Victoria and back by evening, and the Britannic Explorer, new since July 2025, turns that same station into the start of three nights in Cornwall, in Wales or in the Lake District. The Royal Scotsman spends two to seven nights in the Highlands, with a piper waiting at Edinburgh Waverley. The Eastern & Oriental Express leaves Singapore for the Malaysian rainforest. And in Peru the Andean Explorer climbs past 4,800 metres on the Altiplano, while the Hiram Bingham runs the Sacred Valley up to Machu Picchu in a single day. The best part is the one that photographs worst: the hours between stations, when there is nothing to do but sit in the bar car and watch a country go past the window.
All seven are available through suitespot as part of the Belmond Bellini Club, on request via trains@suitespot.com #belmond #orientexpress #luxurytrain #slowtravel #suitespot

In Burgundy with @lesbateauxbelmond we spent the week with colleagues and friends celebrating the refurbishment of our 7th bateaux in the fleet; Marguerite. Available for private charter only, floating through the tranquil rivers and canals of Burgundy surrounding Lyon and Dijon inspired by the wild daisy fields that adorn Burgundy’s rolling countryside, Marguerite’s interiors are a contemporary expression of the regions rich heritage the Les Bateaux Belmond fleet of seven “floating villas” are all between 2-6 cabins and spread between Champagne, Burgundy, Provence, and Bordeaux. Available primarily for private charter only this is a fully customisable, all inclusive experience. This means everything from the pre-arrival planning with a dedicated concierge, a private transfer to and from the vessel from anywhere within France, a private chef for all meals, captain, first mate, stewards, private guide for all excursions (which could look like anything from Grand Cru tastings in Burgundy, to visiting the secret cellars of Ruinart in Champagne, to private cooking classes, biking, and more) are all included in the charter price. Each boat is accompanied by an air conditioned minibus giving exclusive access to private vineyards, gardens, antiques, markets and local spots. The boats also carry bicycles for guests to use freely a beautiful lunch prepared by our private chef Neil, captured by the talented @lorenzopuleo_ cruising to tonight’s mooring spot at tonight’s mooring, standing on the bow of Marguerite, overlooking the plunge pool, expansive top deck, al fresco dining table, and across the river to another perfect sunset 🩷 days are spent cruising as much or little as you’d like, stopping along the way in local villages for a croissant, a walk, a wine tasting, maybe a leisurely French lunch… before re-boarding and continuing the gentle float. Each night, we stop at a different mooring spot. Wednesdays is market day in France! We found these figs again in our salad for lunch onboard and the strawberries in our breakfast spread the following morning the vineyards surrounding the iconic Château du Clos de Vougeot the house champagne is Ruinart, of course!

Benvenuti a Geneva! 🇨🇭 After Prague, our Belmond ambassadors continued their journey to beautiful Geneva for a memorable summer evening. We were delighted to welcome our clients and friends from Geneva and the wider Romandie region to the stunning terrace of Visitaly . On one of the warmest evenings of the season, we shared the latest news and exciting developments from across the Belmond portfolio, including the reopening of Villa San Michele and the remarkable renovation of Grand Hotel Timeo. Following an engaging workshop, where colleagues from around the world presented updates from their destinations, guests joined us on the beautiful terrace for an evening of networking, conversations, and inspiration. It was the perfect opportunity to explore the world of Belmond and discover new ideas for future travels. A warm Geneva summer night, wonderful company, and the spirit of Belmond made for a truly special event. Grazie! Merci, Geneva! 🇮🇹🇨🇭 #belmond
