💙 ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: @lorigeeh 💙

Today we’re shining a spotlight on CCSU alumna Loriann Garcia (@lorigeeh)! ✨

During her time at Central Connecticut State University, Loriann majored in Communication, completed a minor in Dance, and emphasized performance as part of her dance training.

Since graduating, Loriann has built an exciting professional career in the entertainment industry, performing with major recording artists including Cardi B, Selena Gomez, Meghan Trainor, and more. Now based in Los Angeles, she continues to work professionally as a dancer and artist, taking the training and experiences she developed at CCSU into the professional performance world.

We are incredibly proud to highlight our alumni and the many different paths a foundation in dance can lead to. And we’re hoping to welcome Loriann back to CCSU in the Spring for a special guest workshop with our students! 👀💃🏽

Keep dancing, creating, and inspiring, Loriann! 💙

aaand that was a wrap on my 6th season as Director of the Dance Program and Dance Team Head Coach! I was hired at Reseda High School part time in 2019 and given the opportunity to build my very own dance program from the ground up. It’s been season after season of learning lessons about myself, my artistry, my leadership, and my emotions around dance. Unlearning parts of my dance training and relearning in a way that teaches my students how dance is a to heal, empower and unite.

Right by my side, @lorigeeh , was the biggest blessing to this program. You brought a fire to me and to this program and brought us to new places I never could have imagined. Thank you for being my ride or die on this journey and always holding it down for us when professional career opportunities call. Working with my best friend every single day and building with you is something I will never fully grasp.

extra shout to our assistant coach @emilyyysantos for all your heart and dedication over the years! All my students, lemme see you in that comment section :p love you guys!
