We are TWO weeks away from DEKE DAY!!

When is it? Monday, August 17th!

What is it? Deke Day is one of the first traditions that new students expierience at Lee. Instead of beginning their journey in a classroom, students get to serve in the community along with their peers. With their gateway, first year students will load up and go out to surrounding nursing homes. The name “Deke” comes from the Greek word διακονέω which means “to serve.” This day is important because it embodies Lee’s desire for students to not only learn but to go out and serve.

God is good ALL THE TIME!!! This Tuesday I was given the opportunity to speak in chapel in front of my whole school. I was able to reflect on my freshman year of college, while being vulnerable about the highest of highs but also the lowest of lows. And how through it all The Lord was ALWAYS in control!!!! Although I have major stage fright, and I am thankful that God was able to speak through me and give me this amazing opportunity❤️ GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!

summer honors!!!

what an INCREDIBLE time. my inability does not limit his ability and let me tell u, i am so thankful for that. the first 5 days i was so stubborn and thought i just wanted to go home. on saturday day night, i had an incredible encounter with the Lord. He whispered to me that i am meant to be where i am and this is a where something great is expected and i GET to be a part of something so good. These 2 weeks i have made lifelong friendships, grown my relationship with my Father, and had the absolute time of my life. These memories will last me a lifetime. i am incredibly thankful for everyone who made these last 2 weeks possible. you all mean so much to me. and just as quickly as it started, summer honors is over.
