Gratitude!

I had the honor a few weeks ago to speak with a group of young phenomenal women from the Kuwa Women Foundation, Bih Niba Young Women Leadership Development Program about learning from shortfalls and the importance of understanding their cultural identity.

This is what Tataw Ayuk Emilie is saying
“My 3 takeaways from Dr. Gwanmesia: *I noted the importance of mentorship for any significant change of level. *The importance of networking with other fellow leaders was also a strong point for me. *Her 5 Ps for Success was incredible (Purpose, Passion, Patience, Persistence and Perseverance).

Thank you Emilie for the feedback and for investing in yourself. Thank youLorraine Niba for all you are doing for young women around the world especially in Cameroon, West Africa.

Invite Dr. Eunice to be a speaker at your next event.

Last Saturday I had the privilege to speak to a group of Cameroonian young ladies attending the Bih Niba Young Women’s Leadership Development Program hosted by Kuwa Women’s Foundation™️ and their Founder and CEO Dr. Lorraine Niba.

Can I just say that I was more inspired to do more and become more. Inspite limited resources, these young women are hopeful and determined to achieve their dreams.

I applaud them for recognizing problems in Soceity that they want to solve and impact other lives. Enrolling in a leadership program is taking a step in the right direction.

Among many things We talked about, I reminded them about the importance of self care. I also encouraged them to put in place a plan that will help them overcome challenges along the journey.

In addition I shared with them my 5P Success formula and encouraged them to discover their purpose:
✅share your story to inspire and empower others
✅connect and collaborate with like minded and positive people
✅develop an attitude of gratitude
✅pay attention to what people admire or appreciate about you
✅use your hurt to heal and inspire others

Knowing your purpose brings meaning to life. So discover your purpose so you can control your destiny.

“It is an amazing time to be a woman in Africa: be the best version of yourself, shine the light on your abilities & passion; take back your dignity”.

Powerful & inspiring words from Mrs. Elmine Fotabe, Founder & Chair of the Fotabe Univ of Cameroon (FUNIC), & Founder of the Association for the Promotion of Decent Work for Women & Girls.

She shares her insights as an African female Business Leader:

“I work very hard to ensure that I uphold integrity; the standards set for women are often higher, & it is a constant struggle to live up to the expectations that society has for women. Besides that, I think it has been beautiful doing business in this continent. Many people are wowed when they see a woman doing what I do. Many times, you’d see this pleasant surprise on the faces of parents when they walk into my office & they see a young woman sitting behind the desk.
In addition, there are many doors that African leaders are opening up for women. This is an amazing time to be a woman in Business.”

3 key pieces of advice she has for girls & young women in the African Diaspora:

· “To succeed, you must become the best version of yourself. The expectations that society has of us as women and girls is often higher. Which means that you have to learn to be the best at whatever you do. Whatever you do, strive to be extremely good that no one can ignore you.

· Shine the light on your abilities & your passion. This is the only way you can take advantage of the many opportunities open for women out there.

· Take back your dignity. We limit ourselves sometimes & are taken advantage of, even disrespected by society. This is not the place of the African woman. Rise & take back your dignity.

So be the best version of yourself, shine the light on your abilities and passion, and third, take back your dignity.”
