🩺✨Case of the Day✨🩺

The psychiatric nurse is caring for four clients. Which client is priority for the nurse?

A. A client with major depressive disorder who sleeps 10 hours nightly, has lost interest in group therapy, and reports low energy. The client denies suicidal thoughts.

B. A client with bipolar I disorder who has slept only 2 hours in 4 days, is pacing constantly, and becomes increasingly irritable when staff attempt to redirect them.

C. A client with schizophrenia who hears voices saying they are “worthless.” The client denies commands to harm themselves or others and is calm during assessment.

D. A client with generalized anxiety disorder who develops trembling and sweating before group therapy. Their heart rate is 112 bpm, respiratory rate is 22 breaths/min, and oxygen saturation is 98% on room air.

There’s a season where I couldn’t sing a thing. And then when I mustered the courage to sing again, many songs just made me question God’s goodness and purpose for my life. This team is everything to me. Purpose comes in sharp focus for me when we’re together. We made some beautiful projects ❤️
