Thank you to all that attended the ceremony today in Darby.
My Aunt Ethel Smiley was honored with a street sign ceremony a few feet from her home.
She was very instrumental in Civil Rights in the community and she also marched with Dr. King. She ran the Bunting Friendship Freedom House in Darby which was an instrumental stop connecting the Underground Railway between the Southern and Norther States.
Ethel Smiley died at the age of 96 September of 2006.
We will never forget what she has done for the community and for civil rights.
