WIN TICKETS TO THE SPACE OLYMPICS 👽

If you’re only going to go to one Halloween party this year, we’d recommend making it this one. Even better if you can snag your tickets for free, right? Keep reading, space fans…

Meet @lost_hippo. They make some of the most inventive immersive parties we’ve ever been to. Their Disco of the Damned was one of our favourite nights of Brighton Fringe, with a ridiculous amount of work going into the sets, storylines, performers, costumes and tiny details.

Scroll through for a peek at some of their previous events, which sexily straddle the line between party, theatre and unforgettable night out, with plenty of depravity thrown in for good measure.

This Halloween, they’re taking over the @thebritishengineerium for the Space Olympics. Dream up your own planet, get creative with the costume theme and join one of four rival galaxies, then compete in cosmic games and challenges, hunt out hidden quests, encounter assorted aliens and catch intergalactic cabaret before dancing to DJ Chema G. There’s even a “questionable medical”.

And if you’d rather just watch the mayhem unfold over a drink, that’s fine too.

Sound up your cosmic alley?

We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away for Friday, 30th October.

Entering is infinitely than space travel, all you have to do is:
👽 Follow @btntheinside and @lost_hippo
🛸 Like this post
🪐 Tag the person you’d most like to travel through space with
✨Share it to your story (tagging us both) for an extra entry

One comment = one entry, so feel free to tag to the ends of the earth and beyond.

Competition closes Sunday, 11th October at 11.59pm.

Good luck, earthlings.

And if you fancy a taste of the Lost Hippo mind beforehand, their sell-out Fringe hit Guess Boo is back this Sunday, bringing its gloriously silly mix of comedy, camp, filth and joyously rude spirits. It’s the perfect warm-up for their next party. (Have a read of our review on the site ⬆️)

Ts&Cs: No entries after the closing date. No cash alternative. Winner contacted within 48 hours.

Someone famous is in Nan’s urn. But who? ⚱️

There are 24 dead celebrities and one pot of ashes, but who will be the first to guess whose remains are inside?

Winner of the Brighton Fringe 2025 Audience Choice Award, this very silly comedy séance is back for one night at Komedia. Spooky, ridiculous and somehow a bit sexy.

may has been absolutely mental 🌀😵‍💫

fringe has been excellent this year, I’ve moved !! had an abundance of gigs to enjoy and perform.
I’m in a bit of a whirlwind I won’t lie but excited for what my unconventional path is leading me on. 🧚‍♀️

This is absolutely a highlights reel I’m in an excruciating flare and not surprisingly I have had a lot of bed rotting amongst the madness but it is so so worth it to live this audacious life, chronically badass if i do say so myself ✨🪩🤘

May, you have been an utter delight. We’ll happily have you back next year.

These are just some of our (many) highlights from exploring the best of @brightonfringe, @greatescapefest, @brightonfestival, @artistsopenhouses and more, from controversial sculptures to brilliantly off-the-wall Fringe shows and everything in between.

Yep, May was a busy one. But Brighton never sits still for long, so we’re launching something new this week 👀: BOTI’s Midweek Picks – a shorter newsletter rounding up the best things happening during the week. Because it’s not all about the weekend.
