POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A few weeks ago the incredible education team @strangebirdsalon blessed us with their presence and knowledge!

I took their class two years ago which kickstarted my move to Portland and my transition to a cutting specialist so this was such a full circle moment!

We got to watch 4 different haircuts with 4 different techniques and approaches, it’s such an engaging way to learn!

From razor bobs, to dry cutting, and clipper work these classes always leave me so inspired and motivated to level up my own craft🤩

The learning and growing never stops!

Years later and I’m still laughing with this one 😂 @lostboybarber

One thing I absolutely LOVE about this business is all the incredibly talented stylists I’ve met along the way who became such a huge part of my life. ❤️

The memories we’ve created through the good, the bad, the messy, and the not-so-pretty eras have had such a crazy impact on me in one way or another.

That’s the beautiful thing about this industry — the people.

I can call an old friend 10 years later, and somehow it feels like we never skipped a beat. We pick right back up where we left off, laughing about the old days and remembering all the moments that made us who we are today.

So grateful for the people this business has brought into my life. The friendships, the memories, the lessons, and even the crazy seasons… I wouldn’t trade any of it.

Fresh fade! You can’t stop me now! ✂️

I have had my hair short now for 4 years and I love it. The haircuts every 12ish days seems a lot, but the daily care is so EASY!!

What I didn’t expect with short hair is being so recognizable. People will remember me because of my hair. I like that but I’m still surprised by it! 😆

And I love my stylist!! @lostboybarber
She’s got so much swagger, I feel cool just getting my hair cut by her 🤣✨

••ATX•• I’ll be teaching at @strangebirdsalon 10/19🤩

My main goal with this class (besides providing education ofc) is to create in person connection and expand the hairstylist community 💕

In hopes of making this a realistic and accessible opportunity I have priced tickets at $100-if you are an apprentice or student, there is a separate ticket option for $75 🥰

I like to start each class by doing a bang trim/detailing, followed by a transformative haircut

Learn to customize each haircut you do by focusing on people’s natural texture to create a cut that styles itself. I will also talk about the importance of thorough consultations and creating relationships with your clients. Whether it’s just a shape up or something more transformative, make every visit a collaborative experience

This class will also touch on basic knowledge on how to use a straight razor, hand styling, and how to make your photos consistent and stand out.

Stylists at all skill levels welcome, including cosmetology students :)
