The Willett Estate Tour is amazing! It was developed by Nick and Mason to give true Willett fans a deep dive behind the scenes. The guys do a phenomenal job ensuring that their guests have a visit that’s best tailored to them. In addition to what I’ve shown in this Reel, guests also get to sip on some Willett Family Estate bourbons and ryes during their tour, and end their day with a lunch reservation for the group at The Bar at Willett. I couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate my birthday!! Thanks, guys for making it a fantastic day! Will you be planning on taking the Willett Estate Tour one day? I highly recommend it! Cheers!🥃

Happy Hour at Potter Jane Distilling Co? Heck yeah!! The Bourbon Capital Guild got to explore the distillery today and hear about upcoming projects and products on the horizon! We did get to try some of their 14 month aged wheat and high rye and they are off to a great start, you’ll get to taste them in 6-7 years!
.
If you get the opportunity to visit, do it, you won’t be disappointed.

Liar, liar… pants on fire. 🔥🥃

This week at Potter Jane Distilling, we had an incredible tour and blending experience with Jane.

We sampled through their lineup, got a taste of a few potential upcoming expressions, and then had the chance to create our own custom blend using their barrels.

There were several blends that turned out so good, I honestly wish we could have bottled more than one.

Great whiskey, great people, and a really memorable experience.

10/10!

On this episode of Bunker Pours it’s a flashback to E. H. Taylor Seasoned Wood. It’s a Bottled In Bond and packs a bunch of flavor, vanilla, maple, peppers, wow!

The vault door was opened in the bunker and some damage was done! One of the bottles we sipped on was the 11 year 2025 Old Fitzgerald VVS and is simply amazing!
.
We tried to open more to make sure they hadn’t been corked but that’s next time! 👀

The Kentucky Series Bourbon
100 proof
Old Louisville Whiskey Co
SRP: ~60 / 750ml
(full review on BourbonObsessed.com)

My friend John and I did dueling reviews - we picked up some different notes, but had similar conclusions.

Background, details and tasting notes are in the carousel.

Summary
John: The Kentucky Series by Old Louisville Whiskey Co is a very easy drinking whiskey with an inviting nose, balanced palate, and a very enjoyable finish that I feel would please both seasoned bourbon drinkers and those who are just getting introduced to it. While I won’t be running out to purchase all 8 letters immediately, over time I might drink enough of these to collect them all.

Ed: Overall, I enjoy this whiskey’s combination of dark and tart fruit, confectionary flavors and light rye spices up front, with a bit of spice and smoky barrel char later on in the finish. At 100 proof, The Kentucky Series by Old Louisville Whiskey Co is an easy drinker, and it should appeal to a broad range of bourbon fans.

Compare and Contrast
Both Ed and John agree that The Kentucky Series by Old Louisville Whiskey Co. is an approachable 100-proof bourbon suited to a wide range of drinkers. They each found early sweetness—John pointing to vanilla flan and caramel, Ed noting toffee, caramel, and simple syrup—balanced by spice that grows into the finish. Both also described fruit, though in different ways: John with dark cherries and baked apples, Ed with cherries, tart orange peel, and dried apricots. Where John found a medium-length, apple-spice finish, Ed experienced more lingering pepper, tannins, and smoky barrel char. In short, John emphasized balance and approachability, while Ed leaned into fruit, confectionary notes and late spice and dryness.

Conclusion
While John highlighted balance and approachability and Ed leaned into fruit, spice, and smoky dryness, both agree on one thing: Old Louisville The Kentucky Series Bourbon is an easy-drinking, enjoyable bourbon that should appeal to a wide range of palates. Whether you’re drawn to its softer side or its spicier edge, this release delivers plenty to appreciate. Have you tried it? What did you think? Cheers! 🥃 Bottle & Glencairn Glass - Old Louisville The Kentucky Series Bourbon Review
