A 3rd show made room for local sober homes to send young adults to the theater. This time Ned Van Zant’s ruthless and hilarious show “Lost in Del Valle”. Grateful to have been asked to moderate a talk back after.

Who is next?

I went to support my dear friends play @lostindelvalle starring the brilliant @nedvanzandt and it was brilliant. What a beautiful piece of work and Ned delivered an award winning performance.

The power of telling our stories truthfully and unapologetically gives us the power to change the world for the better in ways beyond our wildest imagination.

This is a MUST SEE! Thank me later. Only 3 days left to catch the show! Tell them Lucky Church sent you! ❤️🌻🫶🏾👑

I’m so proud of you Amir and Ned! WELL DONE!

Been having the time of my life playing guitar in the Off-Broadway play @lostindelvalle at @sohoplayhousenyc. It’s @nedvanzandt ‘s true story. It’s dark, harrowing, hilarious, and deeply moving. His life and career as an actor weaves through Hollywood, London, a Texas prison (Del Valle), and the Chelsea Hotel where he crosses paths with Sid Vicious. It’s masterfully directed by @amirarison. To be trusted with the music every night has been an absolute honor.

Our run ends on Oct. 16th! Monday tickets are discounted for $20 with the code “BWAYFRIENDS.” DM or comment for the ticket link.

Even you think you don’t like one-person shows, see this one: @lostindelvalle is gripping! @nedvanzandt has had a wild life — meth & prison, Jane Fonda & Lara Flynn Boyle, living in the Chelsea Hotel and being one of the last people to see #SidAndNancy alive. MIND BLOWING — sounds like fiction but is all true! And at 65 minutes, it flies by. I didn’t get to meet Ned but I was so happy to see my friend @amirarison (slide 2) who directed the show and is also its scenic designer (!). Thank you for the ticket Amir and brava to you Ned van Zandt!! 🙌

Ned Van Zandt’s LOST IN DEL VALLE, directed by Amir Arison, is currently running through October 14 at SoHo Playhouse.

A New York actor finds himself in Texas prison on a drug charge. After being recognized for his performance on “One Life to Live,” he is offered protection by an inmate from the Texas Aryan Brotherhood in exchange for acting lessons.

Theatrical hurricane Ned Van Zandt tells his tale of the drug-induced chaos of the Chelsea Hotel in the 1970s—rubbing shoulders (and more) with Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen, the wild parties in the LA music scene with his friend Chaka Khan, and the fluorescent glare of a Texas correctional facility. This genre-bending piece of dark comedy, directed by Amir Arison cannot be missed as Van Zandt takes you through his spiraling descent: sex, fame, addiction, and ultimately… redemption.
