We caught up with @lostjakey prior to his performance last month and this is what he had to say!

We asked him about why he makes music, what he hopes the audience can take away from his performance and we asked him to share a message for other upcoming artists!

This is @lostjakey

“Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Canada, I’m a 28-year-old artist who’s been chasing music since the age of 15. By the end of high school, I had already sharpened my craft and found my sound. From small bar shows and local events to sharing stages with artists like Offset and more, every step has been earned through sweat, sacrifice, and resilience. The journey hasn’t been easy—filled with setbacks, long nights, and hard lessons—but I’m still standing and still creating. People call it a big dream; I call it shooting for the stars, one song at a time.”

As we step into the new year, we want to give a huge thank you to @harlemrestaurant for being home for our first 3 episodes. Truly grateful for the space, the energy, and everyone who showed up to make it special. 🖤

To all of our attendees, performers, and supporters, thank you for believing in this from the jump.

And now… as we enter 2026, we’re excited to announce that the show is officially moving to @lastcallcocktailclub 🥳

We’ll be wrapping up our next 3 preliminary rounds there before heading into the championship rounds.

It’s a new room with the same love and we have bigger moments loading just now👀
