Start easy. The morning sets the tone for the whole day, so here’s how to make getting ready calm and actually enjoyable 👇

✔️Choose a space with good natural light. Big windows, nice walls, and soft daylight make a huge difference for photos and for your mood.

✔️ Keep the room tidy and clutter free. Move suitcases, plastic bags, and half empty coffee cups out of sight. Less clutter means calmer energy and better/cleaner photos.

✔️ Lay out the important bits early. Dress, shoes, jewellery, perfume, stationary, flowers and anything meaningful you want captured. Having them ready saves stress and gives you lovely detail photos.

✔️ Build in breathing room and don’t pack the schedule too tight, especially right before your ceremony. You want time to sit, laugh, have a drink and soak up the moment.

✔️ Wear something comfy while you’re getting ready. Button up shirts or robes mean no stress when it’s time to get into the dress.

✔️ Let the morning be gentle. Choose music you vibe with, people you love and trust and no rushing. The best photos come from calm, not chaos 🤍

Weddings aren’t all about nice romantic couple shots and perfect aesthetics. In fact, thats just a tiny part of the day. Weddings can be chaotic, fun, still, passionate, unpredictable and raw.

Here’s a few shots from 2025 that stuck in my head for one reason or another!

Lottie and Pete’s supremely laid-back celebration in Kettering was one of my favourites. Featuring Drum & Bass, a self-constructed wedding site, sweat-drenched football, an amazing sunset, meals from their favourite Indian restaurant and a flock of friendly geese.

Shot on both digital and 35mm, their home wedding was an absolute honour to capture, and it was especially meaningful to spend the day celebrating with everyone🪿
