starting the night @bardelareleve

Classic french cuisine revisited, in Marseille

We watched the sunset at Notre-Dame de la Garde, and then landed at La Relève. We couldn’t make a reservation, but we could still scooch together some tables and share some delicious french classics. Definately try the fish on hummus, the eggs with anchovies and the chicken tacos.

💸💸 sharing plates between 7-12€

enjoying pleasures @tuba.club

Mediterranean hotel and seafood restaurant in Les Goudes

This is a fancy one! But if you feel like sitting on a terrace directly at the sea side with a crazy view on the small harbor of Les Goudes and eat amazingly fresh seafood prepared in the best minimalistic fashion and take a swim in between: this is the spot.

💸💸💸 sharing plates between 14-75€

getting surprised @livingstonmarseille

Modern fusion (What we got was something like asian oriental american mexican french fusion, blended seemlessly!) in Marseille

@valraffali is the chef of Livingston and he is a true magician. After working @merceriemarseille he and his team started this project and they are serving an insanely tight and creative surprise menu in a super relaxed restaurant situated on a random side street corner. Our starters: A kind of stuffed tomato in a reduction of something amazing, a flatbread with a baba ganoush situation spiced with chipotle topped with straciatella and some fried chicken/vermicelli wonton dumplings. Main: A tonkatsu with a panade including coriander and sichuan pepper served with mini salad heart ceasar salads. Dessert: Twisted caramel glazed and whiskey flamed donuts with a blob of heavy chocolate mouse. Also want to mention the amazing sommelier who recommended us a light but complex red wine with the menu and suggested to take a super spicy chipotle mezcal with the sweet donut dessert. Hands down this was one of the most fun, exciting and delicious restaurant experiences I have ever had!

💸💸💸 set menu for 45€

stopping by @ripaille_marseille

Authentic french home cooking, natural vines, café and patisseries

The Ripaille is normally closed on sundays, but we got lucky and got a table for a special event: Aïoli + bulots, a classic dish from Provence with white fish, various seasonal vegetables, snails and accompanied by aioli sauce. Worth it!

💸💸 17€ for the main course

enjoying some time @cafelamuse

French bistro, brasserie and café offering brunch, lunch and evenings with streetfood in Marseille

We had a Picon bière and tried the Tartar, Poulet fermier and the Salad Niçoise. All very nice on their own, but even more fun to share since you might have enough of one taste after a while. It’s a beautiful terrace under trees so you can rest and watch people for a bit.

💸💸 approx. 15€ for the food

spending an evening @bouillon_marseille

Traditional french cuisine with a modern twist in Marseille

Every monday is „Cochons et coquillages“ (pork and muscles) night at Boullion. We almost tried everything and it was great tastes and wines, but the oysters, the housemade sausage and the porchetta were our favorites here. The pavlova dessert was very nice as well 💫
