Thanks to @bscine for screening Finding Emily last night.

I found out I became a full member of the BSC not long after we wrapped the film. The first
project to have those letters after my name in the credits. I gasped a little the first time I saw it in the cinema.

A massive thank you to @laurieroseig for hosting last night. Laurie was my BSC mentor years ago, has continued to support me, champion me & believe in me. He also nominated me for BSC membership so it felt fitting he hosted my first BSC Q&A. Thank you Laurie for all you do ✨you’re ace ♠️

Grateful to be able to shoot movies, for my super crew, for Manchester for just being ace and all the other good stuff

The most grateful couple of months of my life, without the groundbreaking talented kind tribe of truly the worlds most light filled and fit people I wouldn’t have my first 16mm tiny film complete. This post is a bunch of people who make me happy so full thank yous to come for the film but for now here’s to the love in making work with friends when this industry is hard. We made a film, first of many, say ello to your new up n coming director ey. 🤍

Welcoming Camera Operator Louise Murphy @louisemurphy___ to Loop Talent Crew 🎥 ⭐️

Louise is an Associate Member of the ACO, working across London and Manchester. Most recently, she operated B camera on an independent feature film alongside Danny Bishop ACO SOC.

She is experienced in operating remote heads and has a strong affinity for handheld work, embracing its freedom and energy. Recently, Louise has also become a Steadicam owner-operator and is continuing to develop her craft in this area.

Originally from the North, Louise has progressed through the camera department for 20 years, with eight years of experience as a 1st AC across high-end TV dramas, feature films, and commercials. Alongside this, she has frequently stepped up to operate and DoP on second units for productions including Sex Education (Netflix), Queenie (Channel 4), and Sweetpea 2 (Sky Drama).

Introducing our Future Cinematographers: Louise Murphy @louisemurphy___

Louise is a camera operator and cinematographer. Originally from Manchester, now based in London. She has worked her way up through the camera department, including eight years as a 1st AC on HETV dramas and feature films.

She has frequently operated and DoP’d splinter, second unit, and pickup shoots on productions such as Sex Education for Netflix, Queenie for Channel 4 and Sweetpea 1 & 2 for Sky Drama. She has also shot a range of music promos, fashion content and recently operated B camera on a feature film alongside the Oscar-winning camera team behind All Quiet on the Western Front, Danny Bishop ACO SOC and James Friend BSC.

The Future Cinematographers programme is a Hatch Films initiative in partnership with NBCU to support professionals to take the next step up to leading on larger projects. Through training, mentorship, networking and the opportunity for paid placements on NBCU shows, the cohort will receive support for 12 months.
