Thursday at FARM (@farmfolkfai) was a blast! Thanks to @ellensmojo and all of the FARM staff and volunteers for their hard work in putting this event together. We reconnected with and met so many lovely people and listened to beautiful music until 2am, starting with the DJ Showcase and ending in the @summit.presents showcase room, hosted by @katytessmanmusic.

We’re so excited for Day 2! TGC will be playing at 9:30p in the Official Showcase and at 1:30a in the Rainbow Room Showcase. Let’s go!!!

We at Summit are thrilled that our home city of Minneapolis is hosting the 2026 @farmfolkfai Gathering! If you’re registered for the conference, make sure to stop by our incredible showcase featuring multi-talented singer-songwriters who call Minnesota home.

Thank you @abc6news for having me on your show talking about my breast cancer journey that led me to write books and songs that celebrate the everyday hero.

Such a joy to have one of my heroes with me, my older son @louisstanoch 💙

Tomorrow is the last day of the first leg of a tour put together by @shaunjohnsonmusic & the @southdakotaartscouncil where Shaun & his Trio ( @theo.brown.music , @stenjohnsonmusic & I ) have been enjoying the great pleasure of presenting workshops & concerts for students across the sacred Reservation land of the state where funds for the music & arts programs cannot typically support such artist visits.

Connecting w/the students & their teachers in a different school every day this week across the state has been a wonderful experience & the reactions at each school has been truly inspiring & exhilarating. At its best, music touches the soul and connects us all. I’m proud to be a part of it & looking forward to the second leg. Huge thanks to Shaun & everyone involved.

Thank you @decorahnews for sharing the news about @katytessmanmusic ‘s show at @impactcoffee on Friday, Oct 16.

Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter Katy Tessman will be joined by her son, Louis “Sweet Lou” Tessman Stanoch, on guitar. The performance starts at 7 p.m. and open to all ages. It will include songs from Tessman’s album “Fly” and EPs “Turnbuckles” and “Lessons in the Living.”

“Performing alongside my son is one of the greatest joys of my musical journey,” Tessman said. “We are thrilled to return to Decorah and share my songs and stories.”

Tessman and Stanoch regularly perform together, combining vocals, acoustic guitar and electric guitar. They previously performed in Decorah as part of the Lawn Chair Night concert series in July.

Thank you @melodicnoisemedia for including @katytessmanmusic + @louisstanoch ‘s song #SummerWasSweetWithYou in the September #MinnesotaSoundsReviews

“This is Katy Tessman’s glowing revisitation of fond childhood memories... her singing is strong but delicate... starring role goes to [Louis’s] soaring pedal steel guitar.”
