Just knocking beats with these little homies at the Louisville Leopard Percussionists! 🪘 Really digging my time with these folks. Good kids, good energy, lots of drums and a healthy amount of organized chaos. Pretty much my kind of place. I've spent a lot of years playing percussion, but there's something especially fun about getting in a room with kids who are excited to learn, play and make some noise and occasionally even listen to the guy who's been doing this since before they were born. 😂 Seriously though, I'm having a blast. Looking forward to a whole lot more of this! #LouisvilleLeopardPercussionists #Percussion #Djembe #Drumming #LouisvilleMusic

Yesterday, we honored Diane Downs who has inspired hundreds of young musicians in Louisville for more than three decades through the Louisville Leopard Percussionists. Diane has brought national and international attention to our city, traveled the country helping music educators, and created a legacy of bringing our community together through music. Congratulations, Diane!

Give for Good Louisville day is back!!! Today I’m raising money for my beloved @louleopardperc. I was a Leopard parent for nearly a decade, and now I proudly serve as a board member. This organization is so much more than a musical journey: it’s a safe place for children of any ethnicity, gender, religion, or socio-economic background, to THRIVE as a human being. @dianemdowns and her team of compassionate teachers CHANGE LIVES, and they are working to raise $10,000 today to help further their impact. My fundraising link is in my bio. No donation is too small. THANK YOU!!❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨

**Updated version... Made a few changes bc insta muted the first edition 😕** This final tribute to Ozzy was priceless 🖤🤟 The Louisville Leopard Percussionists: A youth percussion ensemble that famously covered Crazy Train on xylophones and steel drums. Ozzy historically loved their version so much that he personally met them on his show World Detour and donated $10,000 to their music program. The Louisville Leopard Percussionists famously connected with Ozzy Osbourne after their viral percussion cover of "Crazy Train," leading to a $10,000 donation in 2015 and an in-person meeting featured on television. The Connection and Meeting The Viral Cover: The youth group performed an intricate xylophone and marimba version of "Crazy Train". Ozzy's Support: Ozzy donated $10,000 to the non-profit music ensemble in 2015. The Visit: Ozzy and his family visited the students in Louisville to watch them play live and encourage the young musicians. This performance is part of a viral wave of younger generations keeping the spirit of the "Prince of Darkness" alive. Ozzy Osbourne #ozzyosbourne #tributes #crazytrain #princeofdarkness #farewell

I, for one, would LOVE a day to paint at a couple tables, get balloon swords, listen to wonderful percussionists, run under that rainbow parachute, and more, but for, like... big kids around 36 👀 Images I took for @fund4thearts' @culturalpassinky kickoff at the end of May! Event photography always reminds me of why I love being a human while there are so many reasons to dislike it 💛💛💛
