Louness Ducos, Co-founder of Stories and Spirits, conducted a wonderful Masterclass session for the students of Cooperage The Bar School last week.

In the session, Louness presented us with a different perspective on the way cocktails need to be approached. He spoke about the importance of crafting a drink, as well as introduced us to a few of his own creations. 🍸

Overall, we were extremely glad we had the opportunity to share space with one of the best bartenders out there.

Cooperage The Bar School would like to thank @louness_ducos for making the time for our students and we hope to host him again soon.

“As I bid adieu to this chapter at @cirqadiningroom and @cirqa1960 , my heart swells with gratitude and nostalgia. It’s not just about the delicious dishes we crafted together, but the bonds we forged in the kitchen that truly make this place special. To @kaaz01 who entrusted me with their culinary vision, to the inspiring bosses @chefshannonl and @datgreenninja who pushed me to excel, and to the dedicated staff who became like family, thank you from the depths of my soul. Every sizzle, every taste, every laugh shared has left an indelible mark on me. Though I step into new adventures, I carry with me the lessons learned and the love cultivated here. Here’s to the magic of teamwork, the beauty of creativity, and the power of shared passion. Farewell, but not goodbye. Our culinary journey continues, woven with the threads of memories we created together. 🍽️✨ #GratefulHeart #CulinaryFamily”

Working that garnish magic! ✨🍸

One of the many nice things about c. 1960 cocktails? They usually come with very edible treats... 😋

Our team, bar included (and definitely mister @louness_ducos - in the frame) are all foodies, and when we add something to a drink, it's not just for decoration 😉

Simply put, if the garnish doesn't elevate your drinking experience, we ain't interested!

Louness Ducos started his career in hospitality at the age of 16 as a waiter in different types of bar and semi gastronomic restaurants.

At the age of 21, he decided to go to London to understand and learn the art of mixing drinks. After one
year and a half, he applied for the reopening of The famous Ritz Paris in 2016 as a bartender.

He participated in Chivas, Havana cocktail competition, and ended up in the national top 8. He was nominated by GQ in their magazine as being one of the best
bartenders in France

He also worked as the bar manager at Crans-Monstana (Switzerland) as their bar manager.

Louness will be conducting a Masterclass for the students of Cooperage The bar School on the 19th of March at 3PM.

We look forward to a wonderful session and hope to see you all turn up in numbers.
