🐾 Community Partner - Shirley Proctor Puller Foundation 🐾

SPCA Tampa Bay has partnered with @sppf_mastr_kids, a children’s literacy nonprofit based in south St. Petersburg, to bring stories and themes centered around animal care to their Math-Art-Science-Technology-Reading (M.A.S.T.R.) Kids Program scholars.

Local Author Norma Roth read her book Lovable Lucy’s Big Day to the students, as they discussed caring for pets and how to help new animals feel comfortable in the home. Afterwards, they met with SPCA Tampa Bay alum Garfield the rabbit!

SPCA Tampa Bay is always looking to partner with organizations and businesses in the community who are equally passionate about creating a community where every animal matters.

365 days without our precious Lovable Lucy. Some tearful, sad and heartbreaking but every day we remember the joy and laughter Lucy brought to our family.

The love our four legged companions give us is immeasurable beyond words. And the grief we experience when they die is real and raw.

We are grateful her legacy of kindness and compassion lives on in the @lovablelucyseries she inspired.

Lachlan had surgery earlier this week, so we’ve spent so much time curled up on the couch reading books. Lovable Lucy has become a fast favorite around here. My son is such a dog lover and with the new addition of little puppy Cedar, Lachlan loves all things puppy!

As the mother of a four year old, I love books that are inclusive and talk about emotions and diversity. Lucy’s Big Day talks about Lucy’s first day finding her forever home. We always have a lot of conversations in our house around new things to help Lachlan adjust, so this story about tackling firsts and showing the importance of self growth felt so right for our family.

Reading time with my son is my favorite part of the day and I am so thankful for @shaynapenn @normaroth_author @aduahc @storygramtours and @lovablelucyseries for sending us a physical copy to read and enjoy. They’re so amazing we’re even partnering to give you a chance to win a copy!

Friends!! I’m so glad to be back! We had lots of family and friends here over the holiday weekend so I had zero time to read. But it was wonderful seeing them all!
