Survived another year

Not quite sure how to wrap up this year because I met the most broken, depressed, heartbroken, and lifeless me but also found some amazing people and opportunities along the way that helped give me find the urge to fight for my life back and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them.

I started the year dealing with severe depression and my grandpas accident really just sent me over the edge which is when I was sent to Rogers. I started a PHP program in March to April was sent to be hospitalized then went back from April to May before my level of care needed to be increased to residential. I was dealing with severe ptsd and didn’t even know it.
I spent 9 weeks away from home but it gave me my life back and met some amazing people. When returning to PHP in July I was diagnosed with an eating disorder and spent the next 2 months working on eating regular meals and snacks.
Upon discharge I was happiest I had been in a while but still struggling with a monster called OCD. I went back to IOP for exposure work in November and will continue the work outpatient.
And mixed in are all the ER/hospitalizations for my gastroparesis which has been the worst it’s been in years currently.
Yet So much healing, growing, and some amazing opportunities this year has happened despite it all.

This goes to show sometimes the only choice you have is to survive and that’s ok. You’re valuable, worthy, and loved.

Have a good 2026 besties
