Oh the spring has awakened.

Oh, but truly what a beautiful show this cast and crew have put together. What an honor is has been to be able to be connected with this amazing and talented cast and team of designers. I am forever grateful to OCT for the opportunity to experience that moment in the room when everybody knows you are making something beautiful. I can’t believe this got to be my first professional show as Stage Manager! I will miss this show more than anything. So happy and proud. And wtf is a purple summer?!?!

PIGEONS

My loves, my friends, my life for the last two months: THANK YOU for being you and for everything you have brought to this project. Getting to share the stage in this process with you has truly been beyond my wildest dreams ❤️🕊️

I am so thankful for each and every member of this team and SO PROUD of the love, support, and collaboration we have grown and lived in for each other in pursuit of finding rage, power, truth, love, freedom, and gentleness within ourselves and this story.

In theatre and in life: stay in the moment, tell the story, be there for each other, and HAVE FUN 🤩🥰

LIZZIE: The Musical @octheatre 2025

We closed Lizzie last night @octheatre 😭. What an absolute thrill it’s been from start to finish. From the entire cast to our amazing team of director, musical director and designers, our production crew and incredible band; everyone nailed it.

I consider it a very lucky thing to have been in 2 shows this year after taking 18 years. Reflecting back to Stage Kiss, it brought me back to the love of performance, to plunge back into the depths of my actor’s heart. Lizzie truly brought me back to my power. To be unapologetic about who I am.

Even after all the years of building confidence in nearly every realm of my life, I was still fighting and struggling with the deceptive nature of self-awareness built by so many outside voices echoing an internal critic (or is it the other way around?) But I am now stepping forward from Lizzie feeling immensely proud and grateful beyond measure to have spent this time with such talented people and to be included among them.

As we wrapped up the after party last night, I found myself standing onstage one last time reflecting with one of my dear new friends about letting go of shows. I’m taking the lesson and the gift being a theater person teaches us - that change is inevitable and letting go is a part of living completely. To have held so tightly to the beauty of the art knowing full well it will disappear soon is the learn in short order the major lessons of life and death.

For a show about death and rebirth, oppression and liberation, and what it means to fight with everything you have to see justice done, I’ll say this: what an honor to go through it all. Thank you thank you thank you, to everyone involved, and to everyone who came to see it.

Something is right in the universe when a team comes together to make a perfect show like this. What an honor for this to be my first show back in the US, I couldn’t have hoped for anything better. Thank you so much to @octheatre and @orchestranext and @haimbach for everything you do and the love and dedication you put into this show, as well as the amazing cast, crew, band, and every single person who got the honor of seeing it. We say that things ought to be better. When you work on something like this that gives you hope for the future of theatre, you know it will be. 🫶🏻🪓🕊️
