Bridal fashion is having its main character moment. ✨⁠ ⁠ This isn’t about playing it safe. This month I finally got to fly out to Stone Haven for an editorial, and I left even more convinced of something I talk about often with my couples: Your venue matters. Not because it has to be the most expensive or the most popular, but because architecture, scenery, and thoughtful design play such a huge role in how your photos and films ultimately feel. The cinematic quality people are drawn to doesn’t come from just one thing. It’s the combination of beautiful light, intentional design, strong architecture, and landscapes that create depth, atmosphere, and scale. As photographers, we’re always chasing emotion. But the spaces where those moments unfold help shape the story, too. I’m incredibly lucky to have a job that takes me to places like this and reminds me over and over again just how much beauty there is to discover. Motherhood taught me how to hold chaos and beauty in the same hand. Some days I’m answering emails with a baby on my hip, editing at midnight, running on coffee and grace. Other days I’m fully present on the floor playing with my babies while the to do list waits. I used to think balance looked polished. Now I know it looks like being deeply loved at home while still building the life you dreamed of. Not every season is soft. Not every day is productive. But there is something powerful about learning how to nurture both your family and your career at the same time.

Spent my birthday tucked away in the Alabama hills at Stone Haven celebrating Mena and David with some wildly talented creatives. ✨ What started as Caroline inviting me down for an editorial weekend turned into one of those days that reminds me exactly why I love this industry so much. Beautiful design, intentional details, dreamy light, and a couple that made every frame feel effortless. There’s something really special about spending your birthday creating alongside artists who inspire you. Between the glasshouse session, wedding portraits, good conversations with vendors, and the kind of energy that leaves you creatively refilled, this trip felt like the best possible reset before heading into Michigan wedding season. Mena and David absolutely brought the romance, and Stone Haven (a bucket list wedding venue for every photographer) was the perfect backdrop for it all.
