Lovehouse | Barwon Heads

Something special is taking shape in Barwon Heads.

With some great material selections and finishes by Bec at Leyer Design, the character of Lovehouse is really starting to come through.

Plenty of detail going into this one, and we’re looking forward to seeing it all come together.

‘Boob Bowls for Breast Cancer’, is an annual event and fundraiser that aims to bring further awareness to early detention and the importance of regular health check ups for busy women.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year at the age of 42. With still a little way to go until the all clear, I hope my annual fundraising event for the National Breast Cancer Foundation @nbcfaus brings fun, awareness and funds for a great cause that touches many people’s lives.

Half of your ticket sale goes straight to @nbcfaus! With so many generous door prizes and silent auction items it going to be an amazing event celebrating women!

Link in Bio for more information and to book your ticket! 🩷

We've teamed up with two local faves, @lovehousedining and @greatoceanroadgin, for a glimpse of what a weekend at McQueen might look like.

Here's how it came about. We usually leave our guests a little welcome surprise or two. It changes, but it's almost always a couple of cans of Great Ocean Road Gin premix. Judging by the feedback, and the fact they rarely get left behind, they go down well.

We always recommend Love House 🍸🍜 too, for cocktails and Asian fusion share plates, right on the main beach at Anglesea Surf Club. It's an easy 1.4km walk from McQueen, uphill on the way home, and a winner in its own right.

And here's a bit of our town, and what our guests get up to while they're here (or so they tell us).

Anglesea sits right where the bush meets the sea. Beach walks, heathland trails, the river for canoeing and some of the best bike riding on the coast are all within easy reach of the McQueen studio.

We haven't even touched on golf, one of the most unique, relaxed and beautiful courses you'll find anywhere, kangaroos included.

We seem to attract two types. The nature loving ones who make the most of everything there is to do in one spot, and the ones who bunker down and don't leave, other than for dinner or lunch down the hill.

Either way, we think they've got the right idea.
