I'm seeing nonstop conversations about how community should be free so I figured I'd share some of the real cost of "free" community events.

Spoiler alert: These events aren't free to put on and never have been. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Please understand that organizers who look like me already started off with little and the T*ump admin has forced an incredible loss in even more funding.

So the next time you see a "free" community event. Donate to it! Volunteer with them. Find ways to participate in community beyond just showing up. Donate in your community- be apart of an ecosystem of giving

And shout out to my incredible team and the creatives who volunteer their time to make @blanketsounds happen including @mrlyricalgroove @g0tjoj0 Marlene and Jennifer. And our staffer @loveleist who makes everything run
