So the other day I tagged a list of small businesses and I neglected to include my daughter @lovelybyrain who of all my children was my first entrepreneur. She had been focusing on school and had stopped her side business and only recently started back, so I completely didn’t think to tag her. But after this beautiful cake she made for her sister’s bday, I decided no better time to let my baby shine.

So, if you are in the market for any custom baked goods or sweet treats for your next celebration - check out @lovelybyrain. My baby has been working on her craft since she was about 12 years old - she went from making dollhouse miniatures to playing with fondant and things blossomed from there. She has a wide range of things she can make, so inquire if you want something you don’t see on her page.

I have encouraged all my children to start businesses from day 1, I watched my dad and his business and me and my sisters took the same route. My Indigo Rain was first to start her own venture. Next was my middle child, who started with a gum business and then sold her paintings. It took a couple years of working for the man for my oldest to see the light, but she did. My current 11yo was born a boss 🐐 and will probably take over my business when I retire. We’ll see about the last two wildcards later.
