Today, let's have a specific look at Her Alien Flower, who'll be joining YNES, Ace Ambrose and lovsüm at our next 'Hot Music Live Presents' fundraiser for The Tin Music and Arts on October 18th

As with lovsüm whom we featured yesterday, this band are so fresh that there isn't a recorded track I can yet share with you: however here is a link to them playing a Strummer Room Records session at The Pig Place so you can get a flavour of them:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mviyey46uFY

I'm sure you'll be aware of the substantial impact The Caroline Bomb have had in the last few years (other artists quake at having to follow them on stage). Her Alien Flower is a relatively new project by their lead singer/guitarist Phoebe which also features drummer Ryan (from HMLP favourites Gutter Puppy) & multi-instrumentalist Carol

They self describe as "indie-psych-rock" but as the clip above indicates, that's barely scratching the surface of what they create.

Today in our tour through the artists who'll be playing at the next 'Hot Music Live Presents' fundraiser for The Tin Music and Arts, let's focus on lovsüm who will be performing alongside YNES, Ace Ambrose and Her Alien Flower

lovsüm may not yet be a band everyone is familiar with but you will probably recognise members from their work with other top local groups such as Project Overload, Loophole and The Illusion. In fact you'll have seen some of them play on the Main Stage at Godiva Festival

I wish I could share some of the excellent original songs they've been creating but so fresh is the band that they've not yet recorded any (that's definitely being worked on) so you'll need to attend the gig to see how good they are.

Today let's zoom in on Ace Ambrose who'll be performing alongside YNES, lovsüm and Her Alien Flower at the next 'Hot Music Live Presents' fundraiser for The Tin Music and Arts on October 18th

"Zoom in" is appropriate because her persona is very cinematic and based on her fantastic concept as a hero riding to the rescue of the oppressed. Yet the fantasy that is "Ace Ambrose" is founded on deep, authentic humanity. The well known song claimed "I'm a lover not a fighter" but Ace is both. An articulate agitator & advocate, expect songs from her upcoming album about her concern for Palestine & her people but also ones about love in all its myriad forms.

Please check out too her work with and leadership of non profit organisations such Branches of the Levant (formerly Life Without Borders) and Operation New Leaf
