Spent the weekend road racing with @wkc_karting at the @summitpointmp Shenandoah circuit. Two 4th place finishes for Sebastian in Cadet class.
Two 2nd place finishes for me in Shifter Stock Lite.

Great turnout (especially Cadet with 12 entries both days), perfect weather all weekend, and a properly run event as always with WKC.

Now it’s time to clean up, prep and get ready for the season finale in 3 weeks at Summit Main.

Missed the practice day because of prior commitments. A misunderstanding on my part compromised both qualifying laps putting us towards to back. Had a decent pre-final setting up to start in the top 20 for the final but some poor decision making ended my round 2 early with a DNF. Had a tire go flat in the round 3 pre-final resulted in starting the final from the back. Found decent speed in the final and avoided the chaos to end up with 15th place finish.

Thanks again to @low_key_racing for the hospitality and @fisher_racingengines for the tuning support and despite the ups and downs another enjoyable weekend at the track.

Also big thanks to @motorscape_gary for the pictures despite the results.

First trip to @roeblingroadraceway not the results we wanted. Had the fastest x30 package all weekend despite limited practice. An issue out of our control on the start put us last and about 15 seconds back at the end of lap one drove back up to 3rd but a late red flag cut the race short. In the open tag race didn’t have anything for the ROKS but managed to be best do the rest and finish P3. On Sunday a water pump ended our day early in race one and with limited time before the IAME race we weren’t able to get everything swapped in time so had to withdraw.

First trip to Trackhouse in 11 years and second ever KA100 race in a pretty stacked 40 kart club field. Did a lot of learning had mixed conditions in the morning for qualifying and a damp track for the pre-final which I unfortunately got caught out about halfway through clipping a puddle and spinning from around 15th. Started near the back of the of the final and was able to drive forward some to end up 21/40 entries in the final. Built a pretty decent notebook for the first time on the track with that chassis and motor package and definitely have something to build off of for the double header in a couple weeks.

Thanks again @low_key_racing @kartlounge @sodiracingusa @fisher_racingengines for all the support and making this opportunity happen.

Lot of fun with the team @unitedkarting ‘s double header.

Super strong Saturday, sweeping the day except for fastest lap in the final, which was taken by the one and only @max_schwa

Sunday was much more interesting. Started 1st after a really close qualifying, possibly setting the track record. If I had been even slightly slower, @himmo_45 would’ve had it and started on pole. The pre-final was just as intense, swapping the lead with @luke_fedowitz multiple times and barely hanging on for the win.

The final was absolutely ridiculous. It started rough before I even got on track after making a setup change in the wrong direction. Traded the lead even more times with Luke and @rkmii, and @wolfepackracing11 (Marcus) got involved fighting for the podium spots on his Senior debut after crushing it in Junior the day before.

Sat second with two to go, and slight contact with Luke out of bus stop (my fault) cost me time and forced me to go defensive against Miller. On the last corner of the last lap, he got a crazy run and sent an insane move up the inside to steal second.

Overall, Sodi finished 1-2-3-4 and 7th, with some of the best racing I’ve ever been part of at the front.

Congrats to @luke_fedowitz for the Sunday win and Saturday runner-up, @rkmii for the back-to-back heavy wins and second on Sunday, @wolfepackracing11 for a strong senior debut, and Max for a career-high qualifying run.

Thank you to @matthewfedowitz for the new tires and mechanical help, @its.justin.j, @dleech1259, @low_key_racing, @degrangetravis, and @rkmii for the additional support, and 991 Race Engines for the absolute monster I got to run this weekend.
